Last night sucked, no doubt. They had opportunity after opportunity to plate runs but detroit pitching was able to send them back to the dugout. No excuses, Detroit won fair and square.
They did outlast Boston, the team that everyone picked to win the East and was setup to win the WS this year. The hype on Beantown was off the charts. They were going to have the best pitching and the addition of some big time hitters was going to turn the tide and let them trounce NY. It didnt happen, they fell way short and NY went further into the season than the Sox. NY fans take that as some consoltion. We beat the Sox. It aint much but its all they got now. See you all next Spring. |

That was crazy last night. All I can say is that the way they played they deserved to lose. Leavings runner stranded multiple times was just insane. No bats last night and overmanaged pitching. On to next season. Go Sabres!
