I am a fan of the Monteblanc pens and use a Starwalker rollerball and Meisterstück ballpoint. Hoping to add a LeGrande fountain down the road.

I mostly use this older MB pen, fine liner refill. I’ve got a handful of MB fountain pens, but they seem to only be used at home. Not the most practical for travel, for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have used a 164P for 35 years and have rollerball, fountain pen, and pencil in a black MB leather case.
I have never seen another 164P................ It cost me more the new SeaDweller, I bought that same year. |

Hello TRF! Been a while since I’ve posted. Great pen collections by all and thanks for sharing. I’ve joined the MB train this week. I purchased the Meisterstuck 163 Platinum edition and I love it. I find that rollerball writes smoother than ballpoint IMHO. I also pick up a 149 this week but awaiting ink for it. Looking forward to writing with it. Anyways, thanks again for sharing.

Yes, look at
Yes, they are nice pens but you are correct, a bit over rated, look at Waterman, nice pens. Actually a BIC pen writes better depending on which model, lose one (BIC) and who cares. I have a friend who was returning to work from lunch, something on the sidewalk caught his eye, stopped and picked it up, it was a gold MB pen.

I love the Kafka fountain pen! I have not seen one in person. Can the cap be posted? I am guessing not with the shape of the barrel.

No it can't; I love it just the same. It's a beautiful pen; the translucent barrel and cap are uniquely red in color reminding me of blood which is a recurring image in Kafka's works. !!!
