A few months ago I went to Vegas with 2 individuals. One I perceived as a friend at that time and the other an acquaintance. After seeing my Rolex on my little vacation, the "acquaintance" starts to tell my friend that Rolex owners are d**ches, which applied to me as well.

This acquaintance I found out was still a druggy in his 30's and never grew up and was losing brain cells at a rapid pace. He kept on blabbing fictitious stuff he supposedly saw on Youtube as real news.

Seeing the true side of this narrow-minded acquaintance when he retorted to name calling for no apparent reason I took it with a grain of salt. There are tons of haters out there who think they are entitled because they are narrow-minded morons.

Let's just say that I got a bit paranoid at nights before I slept when this "acquaintance" eyed me whenever I put my wallet away along with my Rolex.

Lesson learned is that not everyone who are friends are decent vacation buddies. Also, life's too short to appease to narrow-minded idiots.

If you are being asked if you are wearing a fake Rolex, it's probably to make some wardrobe changes or quit keeping the company of morons.

Of course, what others choose to believe about my watch is really of no concern to me.

What really annoys me is that by implying or overtly stating that I am wearing a counterfeit, the skeptic impugns my integrity.

Just remember that the truth is what really counts and the truth always prevails.

Grady your posts are like reading Shakespeare I love it! Is your last name Webster by chance?

Just act like a big shot and say " How about tommorow we go to an AD and i'll bet you $5,000 this watch is real." That'll shut him up.

Thank you for the kind words.

My surname is not Webster, but I did have a dog many years ago named Webster.

She was such a great pet. I miss her a lot.

SOME PERSPECTIVE ON MY WARDROBE:

~ Phoenix was still 105 out at night.

~ I was wearing a Lacoste t-shirt and Brooks Brothers shorts with flip-flops.

~ If someone (especially a lush) judges me on my wardrobe at a dive bar with $3 two-four-one drink specials then the can go f*ck themselves. I wasn't at the Ritz-Carlton lobby bar.

Wow, same thing happened to me! I was the DD, bunch of guys were drunk and talking trash about the new ceramic sport models, they think the super case is an abomination, vintage is the only "real" Rolex, blah, blah, blah, I told them to F-OFF, I love the Glidelock, and I left them stranded on a deserted corner at 3am where their Rolex's were sure to get noticed. :)

And your name is you're wanting, and you want to play in a man's game... :)

First prize is a Cadillac Eldorado, second prize, set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired. Oh, have I got your attention now? :)

(One of my favorite scenes ever, great movie in case anybody somehow missed it)

I like this scene so much it's been my signature quote for about a year. :)

Hard to go wrong with a David Mamet screenplay with Alec Baldwin, Al Pacino, Alan Arkin, Ed Harris, Kevin Spacey and of course Jack Lemmon.

I would have had some fun with this. With your friends as witnesses I'd have shook his hand with a big friendly smile and wagered a bet that if it's proven fake by his Tourneo guy the next club party night out is on his tab for all your friends present for the whole night with him as the designated driver. Did I mention the Casino after the club as well?

I have to say that when I saw the new Deepsea for the first time (on my brother in law's wrist), I really wondered what it was. I had no idea Rolex had made a huge watch like that.

For me the very few times it has happened, and I know people were teasing me, I just said: "well, I don't know, the store looked genuine and the price felt like a Rolex price, but I am no specialist."

Either way, I just wouldn't care is someone thinks my watch is fake.
A Channel bag is definitely a fake.
Only sold on the Eurostar.

I said "DeepSea" because 1) I don't want to seam like a pretentious a**hole and 2) I don't want the pretentious a**holes, and shallow girls here in Scottsdale liking me because they think I have a Rolex.

He grabs my wrist and says to the group "He's wearing a fake Rolex!!!" (while laughing).

I politely disagree but after a few minutes of trying to explain to him what I have on I give up. Apparently he's an experts and He says that he buys all his watches from "his guy" at the local Tourneau (sp?) store and he has never seen that Rolex there before.

Tourneau isn't an AD and every time I've been in the local and very tiny store all I see are beatup Sub's in the preowned section.

Have you ever had a person say yours is a fake when they obviously have no frickin clue what they are talking about? It seems that if it's not a Sub or GMT people who do not know Rolex think it's a fake.
I don't understand all these comments saying to just let it go. Depends on the situation I guess. About a month after I got my datejust, I was in book store in a mall and a teenage kid looked at me and said nice fake rolex. I just laughed and said I knew I couldn't fool you. We both just laughed, he thought he had busted me and who cares.

A grown man grabbing my wrist and trying to humiliate me in front of other people??? Nah, that is not ever going to happen without consequences. At that point it is not about a watch, it is about publicly insulting me as a man. He would either apologize, or we would go to general quarters.
