Senior lawyers should avoid a sub or most rolex. Understated elegance is the key. JLC Reverso I think

An ankle Rolex with a solid cement casing - it'll have a good depth rating too

For the office environment, I don't think it matters if you are a lawyer, banker or corporate executive. If you regularly have courtroom appearances though, I would look for a watch that is more discrete.

i'd look for a preowned patek calatrava...like a 5127G, though thats a bit above your stated budget....it'll fly under the radar, and its classy as all hell....and its got a date function...

How about a watch that charges by the minute? I say a Patek Philippe nautilus time traveler.

A good friend of mine is a trail attorney. He has a nice Rolex and Breitling collection. He has told me that he would never, ever wear one into court. For that it's a cheap plastic casio, or something similar.

Go try on a bunch of watches that are in your budget and that appeal to you...several times if needed. Then decide which one you like best. Period.

Panerai Radiomir
388, 183, 287, 268. Stainless, great design, classic and beautiful leather straps to go with your Johnstone and Murphy shoes. A 422 would Faldo work.

If you are criminal, IDK if it makes that much difference. Maybe, maybe not. So in that case, I'd go with #1 Explorer 36mm or #2 Explorer II 40mm. Both are kind of stealth Rolexes, IMHO.

Very classic Date Just or DJ II, fluted TT, or 2 tone submariner black, although a Daytona is a great choice but a bit sportier.

I'd go with an AP 15400.
If you travel, go with an AP Dual Time or Rolex GMT II AP screams class |

You're a senior lawyer, at a firm or in-house. Therefore, you've made it and don't need to flash that fact. Therefore, I'd go with understated elegance, as opposed to flashy. I like the suggestion of the Exp. 1 but I'm prejudiced, since I own one. You say you want a date. How about a DateJust?

As a WIS lawyer, date just and day dates seem most common, then daytonas and subs, the. Patek, then some more unusual stuff. This does not count the guys wearing g shocks with their suits.
My vote would be a Daytona. I like my TT panda. At some point when I become more senior I will get a full gold sport model of some sorts. |

I think before deciding on a watch, I would ask a few questions.
1. What image do you want to project? 2. Would you prefer a watch that people know the brand such as Rolex? 3. How important is it that the watch conveys the right message, as opposed to being the watch that you really want? 4.Will you use the watch for sports? Is it also a dress watch? 5. What do your colleagues wear? 6. Would your decision be different if were buying a watch for just yourself? 7. So do you want to wear something for the workplace or yourself? |

JLC Reverso on a leather strap... A classic, conservative watch that looks perfect in a suit!
