Yes surprising the new SD4000.
But the WG Pepsi when physically held just melted my heart. Pity that in reality I may never own this watch |

The solution: buy a YG or a TT model with black dial. The gold hands coupled with the black dial make the watch perfectly readable

Patek 3970. I was disappointed with it on my wrist.

WG Sub. Waaaaay better in person when you can feel the heft of the watch.

I usually tend to like pics of watches better than seeing them in real life.
Maybe because of the other things you can see in a pic together with the watch and also lightning and the camera used makes a huge difference. |

BLNR underwhelmed me, looked too purple in person. I was so excited to go buy it, got there, tried it on, and it was like someone stabbed my balloon of happiness.
White Milgauss, again super excited to go try on when it first came out, actually called it ugly in front of the AD. New TT sub, DJII with dark blue dial, all had opposite outcome. Ehh about them in pictures, but wowed in person. |

If a lot of guys think the BLNR looks purplish I'm starting to fear for the BLRO...

There's also reputable sellers on eBay who have a good return policy - just be sure you won't get hit with a restocking fee. |

I was underwhelmed with the BLNR as well but as many said the lighting makes a huge difference. But I knew it was a beautiful watch so I bought it and left the boutique with it on my wrist.
And when the sun light hits the watch, boy...it popped and said "Now you know my true colours!". From then on I knew it was a keeper and my decision was justified! |

The 216570 and the BLNR.
Like Ron said, all a matter of personal preference and taste.

Same here when I saw the BLNR live. No big deal IMHO.
Just a personal opinion.... |

Only purchased two watches in my life sight seen. All others, including my Sky Dweller and Patek's, I had never seen in the flesh before. I just went for it.

For me it's the sapphire gmt pepsi like 16710. I thought I had found the one watch and then in person it was nothing. My mistake in hindsight was that what I really wanted was the 16750 or 1675 with big stick out acrylic crystal and matte dial.
I did however buy both sub and hulk without trying on or seeing in flesh. Both times thought things were smaller than I expected but quickly warned up to them a lot. |

Happened to me with the DJ II steel and gold with the grey dial. Stunning in pictures, totally out of place on my wrist.

I agree...saw one today and thought its just too big , out of proportion with bracelet and bezel too 'aggressive'. The previous model was the epitome of style and elegance. They should have left well alone. God forbid they turn their attn to the Daytona. Just my view however.

I think the typical AD lighting doesn't do the BLNR or Hulk justice.

I get fooled every time. I'm almost always a little disappointed in the watch in person. That darn Macro pic
