Logically speaking Tom, the watch will probably show up somewhere soon. Japanese Craigs List, pawn shop, RSC, watch forums, used watch shop, etc..To not make yourself too crazy, maybe think about scheduling and dedicate a few hours every week to check-in with all your sources for the next several months to reacquire your watch.......that staircase in the picture looks brutal and the fall could have happened to anyone and be thankful you didnt break your neck. Good luck and god bless.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I've often enjoyed your pics of that lovely Daytona. Important thing is that you're ok. Hopefully, with some luck, you will find it again.

Wow, very sorry to hear this. As we all know, we love these watches, and sometimes work our entire lives to achieve a grail. The truth is, the watch is just a thing, yes an expensive and sentimental thing, but still just an object. I'm not trying to make light of the situation in any way. The most important aspects are that you weren't hurt any worse and that you will heal.

I wish you good luck on finding your watch, but more luck in healing fast and feeling good.

I was crossing my fingers for a positive update but that would be some sort of "miracle" based on the story so far.

It appears that you were targeted, Tom.

If Karma was ever true, I'd have ordered a shit ton from the universe to be dumped into these scumbags' lives.

Man I am so bummed. You were one of my biggest supporters last summer keeping me motivated to continue to search for my watch last year with all the PM's you sent me. I cant believe your insurance company did you that way. I hope your luck changes and your watch makes it back on your wrist one day my friend.

That stair case looks scarrier than the one in the excorcist. Just unbelievable that peoples greed kicked in that quick to steel a mans watch while he is laying helplessly on the ground. Just unbelievable!

If thats your apartment building you need to post a picture of your watch and even one with the injury your wrist sustained all over the building with story of how it happened and a reward posted. Maybee someone there knows who the thieves are and with some reward money they might turn them in.

Quite an unfortunate event. Seems all the injuries are around the wrist, where you'd be wearing the watch, as if someone tried to rip it away from you.

And before we excoriate the insurance company, the time to discover what coverage you have and don't have is not when you are filing a claim.

This is what I thought as well considering the way the story developed coupled with the scratches to your wrist… A scary world indeed.
In many parts of the world this would have ended up much, much worse.
Good luck.

Tom, I'm very sorry to hear about this. I have my fingers crossed and I am hoping for a positive outcome for you.

I just can't believe that something like this happened in Japan of all places. I am truly shocked.

This just makes me SO SAD. I am gutted for you......as I know how you must feel. Maybe they will be stupid enough to take it to RSC to have the bracelet repaired.
