He could get a used Tag for around $500, a new Nautica for less than that and (I hope I don't get pummeled) a Swatch Automatic for around $150.

I own the three brands, more than one model per each, and the Swatch is my favorite by far.

Omega Seamaster Quartz....the black version of the Pierce Brosnon blue Bond watch. Incredible thinking back when I bought that for $1800 back in the day and I thought that was way too much money for a watch. haha Submariners were in the $3-$4K range back in the late 90's it seemed. Anyhow, still have the Omega. Never wear it but will pass on to a teenager some day (that has interest in watches).
