Best post I've read here in a while. Nicely done, my friend. Enjoy the watches...and more importantly, their future owners.

Hey, they're meant to be used.

No, the perceived difference in magnification is due to different angles, distances or depending on if the watch is under water or not.

Tack! Det har varit en minst sagt intressant resa hittills.

The 116613LB was a perfect beater, so I'm sure big brother will do the job just fine!

I am sure he's seen a lot of similar photos, but perhaps not many including a gold Rolex. Somehow I don't think a majority of his core audience would be TRF members.

Good choice! I may just do the same today.

It was a pair of leather-soled Church's Consuls. I'm still breaking them in.

It is probably why I stay on TRF, because after the "am I too young to wear a Rolex" and "show your Rolex next to your left shoe" threads, come gems like this.

Congrats on the watch OP, this has been an enjoyable read and wear them in good health. The birth year GMT is something Id like to do one day and it also happens to be the model you have. The all new approach is fantastic. Age your GMT yourself!

Thanks for sharing!

That sir is one of the most enjoyable posts i've ever read on here. Thank you.

Huge congratulations on the Trio and the birth of your child. I had a lump in my throat reading some of that.

Can't believe you let the TT Sub go though after all you'd been through together.

Thanks again.

I was just thinking the same thing, which is part of the reason I wanted to do something about it other than complaining.

The buyer has promised to contact me first if he ever decides to sell it. I simply couldn't justify getting the 116619LB while keeping the 116613LB, in fact I probably would not have been able to get it at all, so it had to go. The way I see it the 116619 is an upgrade, not a replacement.
