bought two subs together for first Rolex(s)- a no date sub and a bluesy. Many would have suggested a DJ instead of second sub. A sub for you would be a natural. Go for it.

My first was a TT Datejust and my second was a YG Day-Date; didn't get into the tool watches until #3 (TT, Blue Submariner)

Many, many more since then - just got a birth-year (1958) Air King - and, thanks to those evil bastids from Basel coming out with the new Yachtmaster 116655, I'm not done yet!

Best,
Skip

First was a No-Date Sub C

Which was then sold while I was stationed overseas to pay for my SS Daytona.

If I was going to get another one alongside the Daytona it would be a No-Date Sub (14060M in specific)

My second Rolex is a Submariner date ceramic dial. The Sub gets the most wrist time, compared to the GMTIIs, and daytonas.

First was a Sub. Second was a Date Just, then a Yacht-Master then the collection really kicked in! The last one I bought was the polar Exp 42 a few weeks ago.

First was a Milgauss, never felt comfortable so I sold it.
Second was a Sub date 16610, keeping it.
Third was a black Explorer II, keeper.
Fourth was a white Explorer II, also a keeper.
