Good catch... noticed that as well. Perhaps the production models will be tighter/more like the current spacing, or just the new way they will be doing it?

SS Daytona Ceramic: ORDER PLACED

Got a text from my AD this morning - first one through their door is mine ---

But I'm with Paul on this one --- I'm not holding my breath as to WHEN that will be, nor will I speculate ---I'm thinking anything before Jan 2017 will be pretty awesome...

My .02 --- but I'll be the first around here to have it...

How do the sales people reconcile who has first dibs on the inventory, would it not be the case that the Manager or Store Owner should keep such a list and that sales would be associated with the sales rep on the call...

I would hate to hear about a sales rep losing a list, leaving or being trumped by another sales rep.

The list certainly is ambiguous and I wonder if two people have called the same AD and received the same answer (You're #1! on the list).

Glad to say I'm also first in line at my AD for a white one. I asked them to open a list in January...sooo glad I did.

Was in London today and popped into the Rolex store in New Bond Street...by 12.30 they had 11 orders for a white one with a deposit of £1800.00.

I spoke to the store owner to confirm. However, my sales person was out for the day, so I normally wouldn't reach out to him, but feel better that I did. Also tried to put down a deposit, but that's outside their store policy.

I agree with this logic. I am always shopping my rolex's 1 or 2 basel in the past!
That is why i get to buy a SS YMII at a hefty discount new with stickers...
in a few months maybe will grab the RG on Oysterflex to compliment it.

Regardless of perceptions of 'lists' items like this new Daytona will be offered (first) to the ADs best customers --- regardless of any 'lists'.

...then the 'lists' can come in...

Exactly and why I said many will be disappointed even though they are "#1".

The AD owners will sell these to top clientele first, which many here may or may not be ($50 to $150k annually in many markets get's you on that list).

What a salesperson tells you and what the owner does are two TOTALLY different things.

Plus, I don't see Rolex pumping them out like GMT's, so supply will remain limited on top of the normal Rolex AD games.

Will be fun to watch it start play out probably 6 months from now...

I called my AD and I am first on the list. They told me possibly August. They said that's usually when they get the new stuff. I guess the big dealers get the new stuff first. That could happen in June and July they told me. My AD is small.

Going against a previous post in another thread, I figure I have nothing to lose. I'm second in line at my AD. They told me anywhere between June and August.

At a $3-$5k mark-up most likely...but yes they will and it will be the way many acquire.

They're an official Rolex Boutique, but I'm pretty sure they have told many people inquiring that they would be #1 on the list, just so they can get the deposits in hand.

Hope we're one of the first ones to receive it though

I placed my deposit for a white one at the Rolex boutique in Orlando. They told me I was 11th, but they should have it for me by October since they get larger allotments being an actual Rolex store.

We will see, best of luck to all who preordered.

This is exciting. The steel Daytona and the eventual steel GMT Pepsi are the two on my list right now.

I think being told youre #1 on the ADs list is more like #10ish if you are just the regular average customer.
Imagine how many very close friends/buddies/relatives the AD owner has in his circle who wants dibs on these goodies. Then next comes the vip clients/clients who deposited. Then the regular clients. Ohh crap. I guess my #3 is more like #300ish :(

On the list at my AD for a white dial as well. I have been a loyal customer for the past few years, but I know there are plenty of big wigs to take care of first.

Good luck to everyone and looking forward to the first incomings this fall!!

I hear you...I am excited about the prospect of getting one but I am not a big client to my AD so could be a looooong time for me, regardless of where I am on "the list"

I trust my AD as I got 3 Rolex and 2 Panerai from him. Might not qualify high end client but he never let me down. When I wanted white dial 116520 white dial and BLNR, I had then within a few days.

Should get my white DC hopefully soon!
