I work in NY (Wall Street) and I've seen 3-4 of the new Daytona-C

I see my fair share of SS, WG, YG Daytonas but not as common as Subs, exp1, DJ, and GMTs. BLNR and YM2 are rare but i see them around too

So for me at least, in order of rarity:

1) DaytonaC
2) BLNR/YM2
3) other Daytonas
4) Subs, exp1, DJ and GMTs

To be honest i've never seen Exp2 but I know they are out there. perhaps unlucky or people tend not to gravitate to that model

Maybe because the average man on the street looking to buy a Rolex just goes for the DateJust or Sub. A large percentage doesn't trust preowned so are limited to what ADs have in stock. Another large percentage would have a divorce on their hands if they bought one.

Surprisingly I have seen several YG Date Justs on the wrists of many doddery old men in Spain this week. Normally I only see the very occasional Sub.

PS - I have a marital problem, my wife wants me to buy a YG DateJust and I hate the things.

Hahaha had to laugh at your post Mick I agree with your feelings about YG.

When I started the company with two of my boys we all bought Rolexes after our first big deal. We have expanded considerably in the past few years and we have a policy:

If anyone in management performs consistently well over a one year period, they would be given a 116520 Daytona as a token of appreciation from the company. It gives them a sense of belonging.

I've seen more Daytona's being worn by the " Sloane Ranger " type women than by men over here.

I already have a Daytona but if you're planning an Italian office I'd like to apply

I see very little Daytona's in the wild. Once in a while at an airport, but almost never hanging around my normal places. Come to think of it I see very little Rolex watches in general.

I spotted one in IKEA this past Sunday.
Couldn't help but compliment his Daytona.

I live in the Wall Street area and see just about every Rolex model in the neighborhood. I see a black ExpII regularly, but it's always the same dude standing outside his office chain-smoking. I still have not seen a ceramic Daytona in the wild.

Fascinating, hadn't heard that term before: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sloane_Ranger

I've seen 2 in the last month. One on an international flight and another was given to a coworker when he got married.
