I don't know what you are talking about. My 44FC is my daily and I have had no issues with it what so ever. Polish? The marbeling hides scratches very well. Cracking? I'm more worried about possibly chipping my ceramic bezel than I am about the carbon.

x2! I know I am going to ruffle a few feathers by saying this, but I really feel that concerns about chipping/cracking of FC cases is really much ado about nothing.

I would make sure I have a RO on my stable , whichever is your preference. You need to own that amazing bracelet. And get a Sub for all your sport activities, thats what I do, and I have no worries the Sub is the best beater

Thanks Jorge, actually Hulk incoming this week.
I've been thinking about that, just the steel is a bit heavier than I would prefer.
I suppose I could try Nato, Rubber b or Everest, etc., but all the pics I see don't look as good as the steel bracelet IMO.

And I agree with AP on a bracelet, been eyeing the 15202OR.

Well I cracked my ceramic case supposedly because of a shock, really wonder when the hell that happened as for me there never was any shock capable of cracking it...

Hope you'll like the Hulk, loved it when I saw it in shops or on other people, but when I got it I realized it really wasn't for me...

About the RG Jumbo you have a RG Aquanaut, I would get either something in SS, or CE, or some other kind of material, PT, WG or carbon or even something else, having 2 RG pieces in a small collection is IMHO, a little too much, but hey like always get what you love the most, don't worry about what nk or like

Thanks Arnaud, I am taking my time for the next piece but feedback is always welcome.
We'll see about the Hulk, I know I love Subs. Really love that dial.
Gold Ap is not next, I want something sportier in CE or FC or Ti, or combination.
Trulli is a strong contender at this point but I need to see it in the flesh and try it on.
But part of the fun is the journey and the search, so I am just enjoying that for now

My post from another thread on here: by Patton250 titled 41mm RO vs. 44 ROO

So, if you go for 42 but want a Ceramic bezel - your choices are: FC Diver, Ceramic Diver, Jarno Trulli chrono (cermet), Sebastian Buemi chrono, Bumblebee chrono, Ginza7 Forged Carbon chrono, Doha (Qatar) limited edition chrono, Singapore Grand Prix chrono (cermet), All-White Ceramic Diver - and I believe that is all.

So, OP, did you research THOSE watches yet???

AP is disappointing in this respect...

For as much as I understand the OPs dilemma, I'm not sure how it's relevant to APs collection of watches. AP can't make watches for every single persons desires. No watch brand will ever have a watch in every category. I think what AP does, they do well. But if I'm buying a watch to go mountain biking with, it's not going to be an AP. maybe the question should not be why does AP NOT make a sports watch and instead, why do you want one made by AP when there are a million other choices out there that would fit the bill?

AP ROO Carbon 44mm are very sporty. Save about 40k and get a very high end sports watch at the same time.

Thanks for the awesome suggestions.
I missed the Ginza7 and Singapore Grand Prix Chrono.

I took a look and the Ginza7 I like better of the two. Grand Prix Chrono is a bit loud for my tastes, but still nice!

Of all the above I like the Trulli best from pictures, but need to take a Miami road trip and see it live in the flesh.

Thank you very much though

Great suggestion, I did see this one in person.
Issue is 44s don't work for my wrist. Love that reference though

Perhaps you are right, but considering the relationship with RM, I hope they would create some comparable watches though with AP DNA of course.
Maybe its not your cup of tea but there is a market for such high end sports watches.
Even if AP had only a couple, that would be nice.

LOL I guess that guy doesn't own a FC. He hasn't shown back to reply. I just came to LOL reply at this.

PS - brmeyers you are a man of very fine taste, as many of us on the board are. What ever watch you choose, I'm sure it will fit your needs perfectly.

Rolex SS are great for the task. Just picked up a Hulk.
Only thing with regards to golf and tennis (and working out), is it would be nice to have a lighter weight option. I may just play around with Nato, Rubber B, Everest, etc. and see how that goes.
I am taking my time with the next watch I am getting, currently enjoying the hunt, and researching/learning more about the world of fine horology.

Weird thread. Who cares what a sponsored athlete does with their watch? They don't pay for it, and don't deal with servicing.

Sounds like an AP isn't for you.

A ceramic novelty is the perfect sports watch.

Bryant after reading this thread it seems like you really want a Richard Mille instead of an AP. Can't wait for you RM incoming thread soon! ;)
