it's an aftermarket dial and NEVER go back to that AD at all.
imagine bringing your ferrari into the dealership and you had aftermarket wheels put on and they said "kit car" when you rolled in. guy doesn't know his business at all. |

Maybe that sales guy from the AD wants you to sell it to him cheap so he can have your Rolex or he can resell it at a higher price to a pawnshop. You will never know.

Your watch is 100% fake. But since I'm such a nice guy, I'll gladly pay the shipping for you to send it to me so I can properly dispose of it.

I suspect if they engraved it with your dad's name, someone would have to re plate the caseback at the engravers to match Rolex 18kt gold coloring. This seems like a pretty out of the way thing to do by someone unrelated to the original purchase.

Looks real to me. But best way to check is to see the caliber.
IF the dial is fake, rolex will replace it and you can say goodbye to the fake dial - but won't confiscate the whole watch. And if a watch is under warranty (which clearly yours is not) it voids the warranty to mod anything but even then, the above applies. Beautiful piece. Looks good to me...just maybe an after market dial or a modified dial.
