36mm to 40mm is perfect for me, but more realistically, 34mm to 42mm is manageable, as I have watches in the latter range.

I have 6 1/4 wrists. I wish Panerai made a 38mm watch. Would love one. However, I just can't pull of anything over 38-40mm.

My Tudor Submariner 75090 is the sweet spot for me.

well truth be told its unfair if only the 'small' wrist crowd is serviced.....

big wrists deserve a seat on the bus

40-42 is perfect to me and depending on how it wears I will try the SD. Do not like the DeepSea, nor a DJ. Too gaudy and too feminine.

enough threads already crying over what some perceive to be BIG watches

NO ONES MAKING THREADS ABOUT small WATCHES

people come in all different sizes, big, small, mesomorph, endomorph, ectomorph etc etc......

plenty of 36mm-40mm options are available from many brands.....plenty of 41-47mm from many brands........

there is no sweet spot....its a myth...the sweet spot or spots vary from one person to another

mine for the record is 40mm-45mm.....i enjoy my GS hibeat 36000 as much as i enjoy my AP diver or DSSD or IWC aqua timer 2000 for that matter....i own many watches in between....different outfits and weather and parties/functions etc all determine which watch i will choose to wear that day/night

Patek Phillipe just released a 42mm Aquanaut at Basel 2017....

so honestly...get over it....36mm-47mm are here to stay....

want vintage buy vintage...NO ONE CARES

want a Panerai 47MM....hooray...NO ONE CARES

these threads are pathetic, sad and embarrassing.....the fact that some think watches should only be made in 30mm-40mm is ridiculous....oh yeah..and this... NO ONE CARES

You may have ranted a bit, but I won't lie, there is a lot of whining about watch size round here. But keep in mind, Rolex is generally a very traditional brand, as are many of their customers......meaning change.....can be an issue......

It's the thickness of the larger watches that I am critical of.

40 is my favorite size, not just for the circumference but for the typical thickness that one finds in for example a submariner.

When a watch sits so high off a wrist that one has to consider the clothing they can or cannot wear, I question the statement being made.

Perfect size Rolex for me is 40mm YMMV and that's great if it does. Nice thing with Rolex there's something for everyone
With an 8" wrist, do you need to add extra links to all your pieces?

I agree with Gus. The diameter and thickness of the watch has to be proportional. The Sub is the thickest Rolex I would wear as the SD is too thick on my wrist. The Daytona is the perfect sized Rolex for my wrist.
