I think if you approach an AD and send it to RSC, and hope that Rolex might replace the dial under the fact that it has two flaws, that would be great.

Let's get thing straight here the rehaute cannot be off as it's part of the case.And dials in the real world are just a brass disc with some paint and dial fonts made in their thousands in a few now owned different Rolex factories.When the dial is attached via the dial feet to the movement top plate there is a very tiny bit of movement both ways.Now if there was no Rolex branding on the rehaute then everyones would line up somewhere its the same the the emblem on the winding crown trouble today Rolex have stopped making watches they now only make alignment points.

Just to say to the OP, looking at my DSSD everything that I can see is in perfect alignment (it's too tricky to get a pic with my phone because of the crystal being domed and its thickness; you have to really struggle to see the engraving on the rehaut as it is).

My dial fonts are crisp, clear and sharp.

None of the white gold indices are marked.

It's also keeping perfect time from what I can tell; certainly I've not had to touch the crown since I bought it over a month ago.

Rolex can make a 'perfect' a watch from my experience alone, so why shouldn't you have one? (you've got a very nice piece by the way.. blemishes/issues notwithstanding)

I can understand why you posted - like anyone, you want to know if the things you have found would warrant some remediation by the AD, or whether you'd be laughed out of the shop.

For the price paid, and for the reputation of the brand you've bought in to for their attention to detail and pursuit of perfection; I think the RSC would probably try to help and I think the AD would be fairly sympathetic.

Clearly some people here wouldn't notice the things you have, or wouldn't mind about them - but if you personally do; it's your watch, you paid your money, and you are well within your rights to at least ask/see if the AD/RSC can do anything.

It was such a long time ago.
Perhaps you could have a look at posts from that period on this forum in your spare time but there were a couple of threads on another very well known forum back in the day.
The problem was only with the 114270 dials.

Mine had all 3 markers off by a fair margin and it was the first of the "K" serials from late 2001.

We all have our little peccadillos that we can or cannot live with, this forum tries to encourage you to let the little things go, as it should, so take a few days for pause and if it still bothers you then get it fixed; ultimately, it's your watch and your daily view and you have to like it.

I'd be sending that in or asking for a replcement if bought new from an AD. The lume on the 1 o'clock marker looks visibly uneven on the left side too from your latest picture.

My 116600's ceramic insert isn't aligned with the scalloped/fluted edges, and the SWISS has two little microscopic points missing in the paint.

I've learned not to care cuz ain't nobody gonna see it. Lol

OP, relax, they're expensive mass produced items. None are exactly perfect.

The crown isn't lined up on both my new Rolex acquisitions. The bezel on my subc doesn't line up at the 12 triangle on the click. It's kind of halfway in between clicks.

Would I like for rolex to ensure the crown lines up and the bezel clocks exactly at 12? Absolutely because they should care more than I do because why not then have the rehaut crown positioned randomly anywhere on dial? Am I going to return them because of my disappointment? Nah.

There's no champagne room. It's just a watch end of day. So people here worshipping Rolex or anything material is comical.

Wondering if I missed an update on what the OP decided. I do understand many of us want perfection for our money.
Myself, I'd be leery of sending to RSC for these minor defects. The potential for actual damage during a non-necessary opening and attempt to fix scares me more.

Every Rolex I purchased has an issue. Haven't sent 1 in yet...

My wife's DJ has the under powered cyclops that she actually prefers
My SubC bezel doesn't line up exactly
My BLNR second hand lume has a dark spot, triangle on the bezel slightly discolored.

In Contrast my BBN was perfect out of the box as many of my other watches (no loop inspection). I'm sure with enough time and a loop I would find something but I'm not perfect and don't expect my things to be either.

I am now understanding why Grand Seiko charges a little more for their watches. They deliver perfection, they don't just talk about it. It's all good to be able to send a watch for warranty work, but it deprives you of your watch for at least 5 weeks if you don't live close to a rsc.
