Well one advantage to either, once get it running you won’t have to change the date...

OK, I've completely changed my perspective and now that I own both, I own both. I still think the SkyD is a better watch. Every time I wear the Daytona I miss the date function. I find the screw down pushers a bit of a pain as well; if there is any chance I'll be using the Daytona as a stop watch then I leave them unscrewed. Aside from that the Daytona feels small even on my 6.5in wrist.

Well... 99% true. You still have to set the Skydweller once a year... Who knew February would be such a pain for watch owner's with the date function... I mean whomever made February such a short month should have thought that through.

Skydweller Steel vs Daytona

Am lucky I have both. Would have said Daytona C all day long but now I’ve acquired the SS Sky dweller I’m not so sure

Have neither, would love both. If I could only pick one, I think the edge goes to the Daytona.

Just received my super clean pre-owned G series SS Daytona Monday. My 2nd Rolex, it's beautiful, and running within one second of sync with my PC after 2 days. The 4130 is a impressive movement. I'm not a cyclops fan, and usually don't bother to reset the dates on my mechanicals after they wind down, so the calendar on the SD really doesn't appeal to me.

I don't really like the Skydweller and I really like the Daytona, so the answer's an easy one.

I was asked the same question by my AD recently, even though the wait list for both watches could run into years.

I picked the Daytona.

Skydweller Steel vs Daytona

I have a YG Sky Dweller and I absolutely love it. I have never been into the chronograph complication and if I was, I would buy the Speedmaster. I dunno, I just like it better. The Daytonas never did anything for me. I’m obviously in the minority evidenced by the lack of availability
