This watch was always sort of mythical while I was growing up. I knew about its existence, I occasionally caught a glimpse of it. I just remember it was rarely worn because of the broken bracelet!

It was a pleasure to be able to photograph this watch (and the others), and I certainly got some mileage out of them on my own Instagram account.

"The Old War Horse" only looks like it does because it was recently refurbished by some folks that love watches as much as We do. Bob and Phillip Ridley of Watchmakers International in Arlington, Texas.

The Army and Air force exchange service recently opened their Mail Order service to "ALL" Veterans. So,me Looking for a new Rolex at Christmas looked them up on the Intranet. Sure enough, they offer Omega and other nice watches but not Rolex. My 5513 has the country of origin code for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service engraved on the side.

A PX is a Post Exchange on an Army Post. A BX is a Base Exchange on an Air Force Base. It's basically the WalMart/Macey's of a Military Base.

The PX in Frankfurt was in town not on an Army Post.

Like I said earlier, I had an office 50 Yards from the entrance.
