I got a 4 month old Daytona C with someone else's name on the card. I don't care.

Does it bother you if you weren't your significant other's first?

Anyone else bothered by someone else’s name on warranty card?
No worries there! Think a about what you saved going grey market (assuming you paid under MSRP)

Nah, wouldn't bother me. If the price was good and it's what I wanted no issue with the card. After my purchases, I've never once pulled the box out to look at any of the booklets or warranty cards.

Nope, wouldn't bother me at all. Although all my Rolex models are new with my name on them but that is purely coincidental.

From Rolex’s point of view, what’s the point of a name on the back of the card if someone else can own the watch?

NOPE. And I do not care for warranties. Never used one in 43 years and don't expect to.

I bought the watch to wear it. So I dont care who's name is on the card as long as the watch is pristine and keeps good time.

Does it bother me? No. But I do prefer to have it in my name if I can. It just depends on how much of my hard earned money it costs to have that benefit. Currently I have more with my name on it than not. The funny thing is in this market it's cheaper to buy many modes direct from the AD than the green market.

The cards for my Sub and YM sit in my safe at work. It doesn't bother me at all that my name isn't on them.

Could care less who's name is on the card as long as the watch is on my wrist.

A warranty card with dashes - - - - - N- - A- - M- - E- - - - - through the Name seems worse than someone else’s name. This is exactly what I have too...and it came from an AD in Italy. I bought grey market almost 3yrs ago. I am definitely lightly concerned but not worrying about it...too much...until I read posts like this that’ve been popping up lately. Haha! So if I don’t read another post like this for 2 more years I’ll be fine...I just can’t stop peeking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The thousands I saved for my next Rolex does not care that someone else's name is on my warranty card.

It doesn't matter either way, man, at least in terms of the value of the watch. Honestly, one of my recently acquired watches has someone else's name, and it's the month and year of my daughters birth, and I still don't care.
The card sits in the bank safe and it will remain there with all the other paperwork and warranty. |

Doesn’t matter either way.
However it feels fantastic to have a Rolex with your name on the warranty card! I personally don’t think I will buy Preowned again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Doesn't matter , but it will prohibit you from buying pre-owned? You could still buy pre owned and have your name or no name on the card. Those are not mutually exclusive.

I'm not even sure where my boxes or warranty cards are. I know they are in the house somewhere so I will find them if I have to. I know one of them has someone else's name on and the others may or may not have mine on. I can't remember if they filled them in or not. Never given it a second thought to be honest. I might dig them out though and check to see if it is true the the UK AD's definitely complete the info on the cards.

It won’t prohibit me. A no named or your named pre-owned is almost as expensive as new, so for ME, I’d rather just buy new. I should say I have probably bought 15 pre-owned rolex watches in my past. ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with it. Nothing. Just not for me anymore. The BIGGEST reason why I now buy new from one AD and one sales rep: Absolutely no wait on SD43 I bought on December 23rd during the drought. Absolutely no wait on James Cameron I have bought two since December 23 during the drought. Sept 2017 no wait on black 116500. Jan 2018 no wait on BLNR. Jan 2018 2 month wait on LVC. Jan 2018 4 month wait on white 116500, I will have a 2nd one here next month. Guaranteed Blue steel sky-dweller by August 2018. Doesn’t matter how rare or long the wait list is on any watch, I get called first. That is my main reason for buying only new from the same AD / Same sales rep. While others pay thousands in premium for availability in grey market, I don’t have too. Well worth it. And here is my shameless plug. If you are gonna buy used or grey, for the first time, or heck anytime, use David S. Williams!
