This new policy won't change anything - I've noticed a few TS who've listed destickered watches as brand new, but that the AD removed the stickers without any reduction in price. Maybe the few that get away with stickers will get a small premium.

They do it at my AD in Arizona.

Is this to prevent resellers from flipping?

Is this happening in other parts of the world?

Please let me have your comments.

Thank you very much.

Picked up a white Daytona C recently with all stickers on. AD knows me well though.

Only difference from the past is they photocopied the warranty card with my name on it.

Actually, some guys do prefer to leave the shipping wrap on and let their own detailer peel it off and prep the car. Paint correction, xpel, opticoat.... They don't want the dealer doing the prep.

Not me, mine is naked.

I bought a new SkyD today and the dealer insisted per Rolex policy that they remove the stickers. I don't care. They also stated they heard nothing about the discontinuing of the WG GMT II, FWIW.

I get that but you wont be able to make any claims on painting issues or slight dings if you take possession of the car all covered up.

For a DJ they'll wrap it up twice and even give you directions to Watchfinder.

Second said they put them in window and first to see it gets it! I like that by the way,
Third, my AD Crouch said iv not spent enough money with them, so don’t hold my breath!
If I treated my customers like like they do I would be out of work!

I was told by Crouch (Swansea) that they don't operate a waiting list.

Last three watches I purchased dealer removed the stickers, sized the bracelet, and had me sign the warranty card. Non negotiable from their perspective.
Also stated that all hard to get watches will not be displayed and held for their best customers.

Yes, in Japan and Switzerland, stickers must be removed before leaving the ADs.

Come to think of it when I bought my sd43 they took the stickers off straight away. Told me they did not want me to resell it. I didn’t care because I would never sell it anyway.

A new car doesn’t come with stickers when you drive off the lot, so how is a watch any different? I’m perfectly fine with the AD removing the stickers in front of me before I take the watch home. Mine lets me peel them myself in the store, which satisfies the tick , no different than doing it at home.

Now if the watch is already naked in the display, then I’ll likely pass unless it’s an allocation piece I’ve been waiting for, and truly “brand new” unpolished.
