They have made some good review but:
1/ Not true Rolex « started » to set high perf movement with the DD 40 because they set the 3235 earlier in the pearlmaster, then they came out with the 3255 in the 40 DD and after with 3235 in the DJ 41 ( which is the upgraded 3135 which was the most produced of their caliber cause it has been in Sub plus DJ plus SD etc for a while etc...)..
2/ Still on the website=still manufactured

I can only hope this is the case, I'd like to see the value of my BLNR go up-up-up! (Sorry for those still trying to source one)

I'm still puzzled why it would be on their website, however.

Rolex confirmed in an interview during Basel it would still be producing the BLNR. I do not remember what article it was......I've read 8 million since last wednesday.

Two weeks ago he had one listed for $10,900. I know because I bought it with a very narrow negotiated margin. Some may call me dumb, fine. It ended up being $1k more than I would have paid at an AD with tax. My local AD had 7 paid deposits for the blnr. I was prob looking at a year wait. $1k divided by 12 months = $83/month. Well worth it for me not to wait. And you know what, I can’t take it off. The premium was worth it!!

If anything, Rolex will make a 126720BLNR with the Swiss “crown” Made just like the Deep Blue (which I also have). In that case, I am content to have Gen 1 of both. I don’t buy for future values, I buy for me.

As I said in another thread, if my Rolex collection goes up in value, my son will inherit some bad @$& watches. If they don’t, my son will still inherit some bad @$$ watches.
Nothing "dumb" about it whatsoever. They will discontinue it, maybe not the balance of this year, prices will rise, and you son will have a great legacy piece if he wants it. The watch is a modern classic, especially considering the consistent demand it has received since its introduction.

That is very interesting...so 116713 and 116718 remain. Some people claim the same about 116610LV. Was it in the catalogue Tom?

Thanks Tom. Now if BLNR gets discontinued i guess very few could have seen that coming prior to Basel.
