I'm not a fan of rubber watch straps unless one is wearing shorts or a dive suit. I also don't really condone watches on bracelets with a suit but it's immensely preferable to a rubber strap. And that goes for Rolex, Patek, or whatever.

IMHO rubbers or even NATO don’t work with suits ... so maybe Bond is an exception but how many spies are out there wearing suits or tux.

Leather is the way to go ... on a dress watch. Never on a divers watch. If anyone replies Bond go to above paragraph.

Metal bracelet is a close second to leather. Which is my preference as I am a bracelet guy through and through.

Just my 2cents.

I don't particularly like a rubber strap with a suit but have no issues with a sports watch on bracelet with a suit. I probably wouldn't wear the massive Deepsea or SD43 with a suit but wear GMTs and Subs all the time.

No. It does not work with a suit. Traditional formal business attire should be with a crocodile strap in a non sport version.

But Cary Grant died a long time ago and men don’t shave and wear man buns and take breaks in sleep pods.

Do whatever you like. Nobody but us really care what’s on your wrist.

Daytona on Oysterflex

No problem as a dress watch with a suit for me.

Maybe without those end links. In general though, I’m a no for this.

My first reaction was to think that no, a rubber strap is probably not a good look with a suit. But now, after seeing all these pictures of beautiful watches wearing rubber straps, I'm sure of it.

I thank God I don’t have to wear a suit so I’m the wrong one to answer this question.

Not a fan at all. Put the bracelet on! The only watch I really like on the OF is the rose gold yacht master.

I don’t think the OF band goes well on any other Rolex than a ceramic Daytona, let alone on a blro with a suit. Yikes!

GMT C doesn’t look good with a suit on regardless of rubber or bracelet.
For some reason the sub does. Can’t explain it though.
