16600 for me... I don’t care for the fully indexed bezel on the later iterations, probably due to the fact that I’m accustomed to the bezel on my 16610.

Never owned a 16600 or 16610ln so to me the
fully indexed bezel is quite intriguing but I can see
the attraction towards the traditional steel bezel...

For me, the "perfect watch" : an aestheticaly speaking bomb. Profile, lugs, face, it is - just - perfect in every aspect.

Honestly, Rolex hit the SD43 out of the park with its proportions. I have never tried on an SD4K but I feel 39mm (that's what people here have said is the actual size) and 15mm thickness would feel incredibly top heavy.

That being said, I do not like the cyclops on a Rolex diver.

"Perfect" is a bit of a stretch, but it is a very nice watch. The inset date window and protruding end links remove it from the perfect category for me if I were in the market for a 40mm diver. I just can't get past those two issues as much as I try....

I have a sub c Bluesy and can assure you the SD4K C doesn’t wear
like a 39 mm it actually looks and wears
larger than a sub c cause I have both ...

Now the SD43 is still a phenomenon cause I have yet
to see or try one on in the flesh ...

I personally love the SD43. The 43mm isn’t too big and hugs your wrist nicely. I have a 7.15-7.25inch wrist and i love the way it sits. It’s bigger than a regular sub in a good way. It’s the sub for those wanting a sub without blending in the crowd of subs in my opinion. I also prefer a little heft to a watch, the sub/gmt is too light for me, and I’m not a big guy.

I personally also love the cyclops. It’s definitely a Rolex trademark and I never understood why people hated it so much, I think the date without the cyclops looks weird.

I love the red lettering looking back at me each time I check my wrist (just to check out the watch, not necessarily the time). I really hope they discontinue the red lettering soon to make it even more special.

The gas release valve makes it known it’s a sea dweller right off the bat.

Lastly, I love the tick marks which go all the way around the bezel.

Only if the dial itself doesn’t have minute markers. As the Rolex dials do, the fully graduated bezel of the Sea Dwellers is not actually required to meet the ISO standards.

It's hard to explain, but for me the 43mm is somehow a more interesting watch on the wrist. The 4000 comes across as a little bland...and it is a bit top-heavy too.
I started off preferring the 4000, but these days it's the 43mm for me. Doesn't seem too big in the way the Deepsea can.

In my eyes...they are all super cool. I have had all of them over the years. As much as I dig the 5 digit classics, the moderns surpasses them.

I believe the SD is the ultimate in Rolex SS sports models, and think the 43 is the best of the SD’s.

they are not going to remove the red text any time soon, why would they? it's the new seadweller's signature.
