Not a fan of the old tuna can clasps. Modern bracelet/clasps are far more robust and richer feeling. No comparison in that regard.

I feel the crazy and frienzied prices on the older versions compared to the quality of new ones cannot be justified to me. With all of the upgrades on the six digit models l can't go back. The bracelet alone is a deal breaker for me. Although lovely in their own right and knowing prices are relevant l felt better choosing a new Blnr over an old pepsi and kept 2 to 3k in my pocket.

Love the colors of my 5 digit, but the flimsy feeling bracelet and laughably small crown detract from it in my eyes.

I think a super jub would help greatly.

I can’t comment on the new Pepsi since I’ve never seen it in person (only WG version). 16750 matte dial with faded bezel is a classic.

The richer colors of the old one are really hard to disagree with, but I lean toward the new one because that watch just looks SO good on the jubilee.

I really like the Pepsi Jubilee more than the former model.

I think that Jubilee bracelet fits better than the Oyster one.

Eric, that's a really nice collection of BLROs you have! It's nice to see them all side by side. Thanks for posting that. Cheers.

I personally can not do the new one. I am definitely going to be on the hunt for a vintage one when the time comes.

To me they are both comfortable, the new BLRO on Super Jubilee a little more so.

It’s really interesting how different the colors on this 126710 look from the colors on the one in the OP, while the colors on the two 16710s look pretty much the same.

there's so much to like about both, but they're like two totally different watches except for the GMT function.

I was ambivalent to the new pepsi and biased to the 16750. After trying it on, it's hard for the photos to do it justice. and the 16750 bracelet feels lighter and frequently chimes/rattles vs the solid link silence.

still love the 16750, if an AD in the area had a new one i'd probably get it,too

The 126710 bezel changes colors. It’s unlike the BLNR or any other cerachrome I own. It’s almost iridescent....

I prefer the lugs and colours of the old Pepsi. Having said that, faced with the choice I'd still go for the new one for several reasons (benefits of the new movement, bracelet and clasp, warranty, serviceability).

Hahah that's true they are like a tuna can.

My $0.02 cents on this (have a Coke bezel 16710 and the new Pepsi) one thing people are forgetting are the hands and the lume on the newer GMTs. Having the big hands makes the watch easier to read.

To be honest I thought the new Pepsi's colors would be brighter. When I picked mine up in the store my wife couldn't even make out the blue and thought it looked like a Coke bezel.

Nice pic and a great pair to have. If I ever go back to a 5 digit, it'll be a 16710.

Beautiful shot!!

I have a question. I own a Pepsi 1675 from 1974. How does the size of my watch compare with your older Pepsi? I'm lusting over the new model and want to get a sense of the size difference between mine and the new model.

Mine probably wears larger. I think they’re both 40mm watches.

Nice pair!

I prefer the 6 digit, except for the colors. Like the Pepsi color of the older model better.

On the 6 digit, I like the ceramic bezel, larger crown, solid links, better clasp, Easylink, new movement.

Hi Frank,

There have been some weld failures on the new GMT clasp.

The old clasp has stood the test of time.

But then the easy link is a nice feature.

I have both and I find my old M Pepsi is more comfortable but I wear the new model more often.

Recently saw the new version in the flesh for the first time .... the colors just ain't right. Way too muted. And there are many other reasons the 5-digit models are more appealing ... size, feel, design ... aesthetically it wins hands down, especially the 16700. All subjective, of course!

Nothing muted about the 6-digit. It has a very dynamic bezel that changes shades based on lighting. Indoors the ceramic goes closer to navy and burgundy which helps it work better with a business suit, but out in the sun it's as bright blue and red and bold as the aluminum version. Subjective, definitely.
