Objectively no but according to todays fashion and popular taste yes. The later may change though.

I think that it looks too small for your wrist. I have a 7.5-7.75 wrist depending on the weather and as much as I like the 36 mm references they do not work for me as well as 40 mm and up. While you can obviously wear any watch you want and can afford that does not mean you will look your best in it. If you are asking then I think you know the answer and once the question is in your head it will stay. Look at the DJ II or DJ 41 and a Submariner is always a good choice. I would get what I can for this watch and move on. Good luck.

Two answers:
1) Yes it's tiny. Please get something bigger! 2) "If you have to ask..." Seriously, you have larger wrists and thus can wear about anything. DSSD would look perfect! |

See the Deepsea in comparison to the DJ36, I love both sizes... Of course the DJs are vintage pieces and therefore by definition smaller... BR Torsten Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk |

I think it looks smaller due to the size of your forearms and the rest of your frame. I think the SD43 would work well for you.

The DD36 doesn’t look too small on your wrist but a Sub or larger piece would probably better suit you.

I find it way too small for your wrist, sorry. The dial looks like it's lost in a sea of skin IMHO.
I tried 36mm on my 7 inch wrist, couldn't get used to it. As long as you like it, it's all that matters though. |

I think the last few decades have created a completely distorted view of how a watch should fit a person. For that style watch, the OP pic looks perfect to me.

You guys are likely right about the trend in watch size preferences. However the DJ36 wears smaller than other similar sized watches due to a thicker fluted bezel and wide lug width for the dial...the combo makes the dial look smaller than it is and I feel it wears more like a 34. I had 35mm vintage watch with a thin bezel and 18mm lug width and it wears more like a 40mm dress watch. I’m 36 years old with a 6.75 inch wrist and I feel the DJ36 is too dainty for me but I loved my 35mm vintage longines flagship. The DJ41 has much better proportions to me being 39.5mm with a 21mm lug width vs the DJ36’s 36mm and 20mm lug width. But like others mentioned - beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think it looks fine. The 36mm looks best with long sleeves, save this for more dressy occasions and add the sub. A datejust and sub, a combo that will suit you for life.

Looks good to me. And, may I add, if you love it, that's all that matters. If I were you, I would keep it until you get the sub, and then go from there.
You might find you like having something a little dressier/smaller to go to in rotation with the sub, or you might not be feeling it anymore when you strap the sub on. No harm in waiting to be sure. |

For me, I'm in my 60's, dress watches were 34-36mm when I was growing up.
So I don't think it looks too small on you, it looks like a dress watch. I have similar sized wrists, I have a DJ 41, but I have considered a 36mm also. If you like it wear it, if it seems too small vs a 40mm Sub, maybe change it. |

NO! 36mm is a great size for a 7.5” wrist (I have one too). In fact, I have two 34mm Rolex Oyster Dates and a 35mm vintage Omega Seamaster Chronograph that I also wear proudly and love the way they sit on my wrist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

With an arm like that I would not argue or arm wrestle you!
But in my opinion, the bling watch with diamonds and MOP looks like a ladies model to me. (apologies if you are a debt collector etc., as it would look equally good on you!) |

Lol! So nobody is a fan of diamonds here. I knew that prior to posting though. I know most male Watch enthusiasts dislike diamonds but I have always been drawn to them on watches. Also if it makes it any more manly the watch has a silver sunburst dial. Not MOP. I would agree MOP would be to feminine with the diamonds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I never liked diamonds on watches for men until I saw a day date with a baguette diamond dial <3 (Pic from the interwebz) |

That is a stunning Watch. An all yellow gold day date is my absolute favorite. Someday I’ll own one. Not for a while though, but it’s ok, I have plenty of time to work my way up to one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Your watch is very nice certainly too nice to need to loose money. If you have time try some other watches on in a friendly AD and see what you like more (or not?) Often it’s like buying new shoes, you try new ones on - like them but they are not so comfy. Then put your old shoes back on and realise how good they fit! |

Wear what you like not what everybody else does. To answer your question In my opinion it does look a little on the small size for your big wrist, but if you like it by all means wear it.

Once you start wearing a sub, the 36mm is going to seem very small

its different for different watches, my gmt at 40mm looked right and i said that 40 was my perfect size and that i would never go under,
but i traded it to a dd 36 and the 36 looks right, whereas when i saw a 40mm dd it looked all wrong, way too big and put me off, your datejust looks totally right to me, its a dress watch more than a tool watch. |

I prefer diamond markers over a diamond bezel, but really like OP’s DJ.
