I’m really pushing my self to like the new line, but the date window placement is blocking me.

Looks so generic with that dial and no bezels. Does nothing for me. Its a watch not a screen. Bezels are fine and needed for character.
Only positive of 15500 I think is the new bigger diameter movement which fits the case better and positions the date window better. 4Hz is also cool. I also like the bigger logo and the lack of Automatic. Making the case thicker is going backwards. The minute markers are a joke. Hate them. Why take away part of my beautiful tapisserie dial for those ugly raised lines. Passing on everything. |

..............................hmmmnnn.......i love the case, i love the construction....but they REALLY $%$##$%# the dial. Give a 19 year old a choice of buying a LVc at grey prices and still have $17,000 to blow up on travel and entertainment for a full year....they'd probably pick that.

He completely missed the point of the "bashing". Most people went out of their way to say the case and glass was quite nice, but that the dials were horribly ugly and cheap looking (not cheaply made, cheap looking). Nothing he says in the video will change the mind of anyone, IMO. A true thing of beauty shows in photos. The 11:59 is not beautiful. It may not be "ugly" and may seem nicer in real-life, but should not AP aspire to more? I think so. |

The case is actually gorgeous overall. I think the biggest problem at the end of the day was going TOO classic and TOO simple with the hands and numerals/indices. The watch with a deep blue/black (as the MR) is really, reallllly handsome...but it just misses on the WANT factor. I always wonder who they test this stuff with market wise before making it...

All the design elements are indeed manufactured and executed to the highest standard....... but, there is far too much happening on this watch to allow it to be attractive. In layman,s terms it is known as " too much gingerbread ".

What I personally don’t like in 11.59:
1. All dials incl MR - sorry, no way to persuade me these are smth unbelievably interesting 2. Case back - it is flat and looks cheap. Though movement looks quite nice. 3. All these funny attempts to make public reaction for better by paid bloggers and AP itself Why do you do this sh....?? Ok, startup fail is not the end of the whole game. What I like: 1. Side case view is really nice as well as new movements Just change dials and case back for something really interesting and up today and win Cheers all |

Actually he is awful and just more damage control by AP. Kinda a smack in the face if you ask me. "Hey, you have to see it in person to decide if it's worthy of a 28k purchase, seeing photos online is not a fair assessment. Oh and you have to travel to a boutique to see it because we have no AD's any longer." *. If everyone loved this thing, this BS about having to see it in person wouldn't be needed. I do believe you will appreciate a certain reference you already like more in person but you can't put lipstick on a pig. Artificial light and a fancy AP Boutique isn't going to make this one look good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

No matter how often and from which angle I look at pictures of these watches - they are not pleasing my eyes.
Design by committee seems to have resulted in a mix of retro and very modern - dare I say avantgarde - features that just don't work well together. I am sure the craftsmanship and engineering are great but for what purpose if the design is as it is? What is the purpose of these unattractive oversized watches apart from being different and trying too hard at that? |

The case and crystal design is stunning ! The size is optimum, but the dial on the non-chrono looks somewhat Seiko-ish due to the outer chapter ring.
I would definitely wear the white dial version ....................

Any reason to be concerned about lug integrity, or is gold more than strong enough to do the job? If the top of one lug bends just enough, there goes your $28K+ AP...

If your wear it with the back facing forward lug integrity could be a problem...
If you wear it face forward the resulting force is pulling the lugs down rather than up - so it shouldn't be a problem. As much as I don't like the looks I would hope AP ran enough tests given the amount of time the spent on these pieces. |

To be honest, I hated it at first, but now it’s really growing on me - and - I could be seriously tempted by the Perpetual Calendar - it’s utterly stunning.
This range is a grower for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would prefer rounded and slimmer profile to match slim bazel. Also, some engraving would be plus.

The case actually looks fine and great.
It's the whole dial configuration and date window that is completely off and unoriginal. No idea why AP needs to make the minute track on the 15500 stick up and the addition of an extra numbered minute tracker on the code 11.59. Reminds of the later 14970 and the early 15202 with the numbered minute tracker. The watch dial was cluttered and busy. And again... I can't get over that date window AP make something like this below (sample picture, not mine) with your new case design. And shrink it to a true dress watch size. |

I voted 'like', but in all honesty I'm on the fence until I see one in the metal. Whatever happens I doubt I'd go as far as disliking them, I'm just speculating that in real life they are going to look more appealing than in pics.

What I don't understand is if the Ro is your main seller and it's such an iconic model how do you price the entry model higher then the ro
