There are few things for which I will sacrifice nearly everything. My wife is one. Our dreams are the other. Watches, cars, audio equipment, these are things. Things can, in nearly every instance, be replaced. What cannot is a loving family and a dream.

If I were in your shoes, I'd do the same thing. The watches will come back. Dreams are once in a lifetime.

You folks amaze me with your outpouring of kind support. I have shown this thread to my wife, and she too thanks you so much!

I lost many Rolex lately, so I really understand what your feeling. But believe me life goes on. And soon you will get another one. More better than your ex.

Thats a tough one and I'm sure everyone here has thought about the "what if" too.

Watches can always be replaced but opportunities and gestures such as yours are no where near as readily available. I'm sure you will own another beautiful watch down the road.

Good luck

Thank you very much, Dylan. And again, congratulations on your new addition. The Rubberclad is destined to be a classic piece!

Nice to see a good relationship.....it's all about supporting each other. I hope things go well for her. However, regardless of how things pan out in her business you are doing the right thing.......CHEERS!!!

I helped my wife to start her own business too.

But My wife bless her.... is jealous,

After she became successful
and I replaced all I had sold to fund her busines
.. look what she did, just because
I was "talking" to the 31 year old neighbour of ours.???..

She drove her blue Ford pick-up ...through our garage door

This Garage door now will cost me $1.100 dollars to replace....

They're just watches...think of them as little collections of cogs and screws and nothing else. Now think of how happy your wife could be and how happy that makes you!See....now it doesn't seem so bad, they are just watches.

Your wife is lucky to have a guy prepared to ditch his "crap" (my wife's term for such cool stuff) in order to make her happy.

Fair play to you and best wishes and good luck to you both in this new endeavour!

Thank you very much, Jim. She offered to sell her Datejust as well, but I said no...not until we can't afford to eat.

Howard
I have just been catching up with some of the posts and nearly missed yours.
I just like to wish you both good fortune, with your wife's business venture.
And I hope that in the not to distant future, you are rewarded with another Rolex sitting upon your wrist.

Hi Howard, sorry I missed this thread until just now. I know how your things mean to me, and I greatly respect your sacrifices. I know you'll be getting another Rolex(es) in the future, and more importantly, you have friends here, who know how you feel. I still hope you, Scott and me can get together.
