I thought that too but a lot of info online says that the Milgauss (and Explorer) has Paraflex but the AK does not.

I bet it would be a hot piece if it had a rotating ceramic bezel

Milgauss and AK are basically one and the same 3131 except each has its own quirky dial/hand combo, both very thick and heavy due to the soft iron antimag inner case liner, both relatively unpopular. Briefly had an AK recently, loved it for the first week then returned it. Between the lightning bolt on the Milgauss and the green stuff on the AK, I dunno, novelty wore off for me. Just my opinion, I get why many owners love 'em.

I don't know about no demand. You could have bought a Milgauss for $5K not that long ago. They've moved up in value by at least 25% during the shortage and they are being purchased.

I remember my first negotiations for a 1st watch was a black GV. I had Tourneau in NYC negotiating down to $6,200 before I walked away with second thoughts on whether it was the right piece.

Can't find them here. Once they come in they are sold before hitting the case.

No, sorry! I was mistaken. Neither the AK nor Milgauss has Paraflex. Not sure where I read that the Milgauss has Paraflex but that does not seem to be the case.

The Explorer has a 3132 movement, which is distinguished from the 3130 in that is does have Paraflex; the 3130 has the older KIF system. The difference between the 3130 and the 3131 is the faraday cage, not the shock system. I'd be interested in seeing links to the information you're seeing, because it wouldn't make sense that the same movement of the same generation would have different technical attributes depending on the watch model that houses it.

Of note, Rolex makes no mention on their website of the Milgauss or A-K 3131 having Paraflex. They do mention the 3132 in the Explorer and OP39 has Paraflex.

I was just combing through whatever the Google brought. One of them mistakenly listed the Milgauss as having Paraflex but I believe you are correct that both it and the AK sharevthe 3131 and no Paraflex.

I had a Milgauss, two actually, and no Rolex ever felt better to me. The size suited my wrist, the heft was very satisfying yet it would still slide under a shirt cuff. I even liked the second hand and prefer no date. I just fould the orange too limiting. Still dreaming of a silver dial, red accent version for Baselworld this year.

Agreed. That's why I bought mine.

I have three authorized dealers in three cities because I travel a lot. None of them have anything on the shelf, including that. I had to hunt for mine, which was my second one by the way. I’ve had the blue and now I own the black. I love them, but it’s no different than any other Rolex. Depends on the person’s tastes. II’d neverwear a date just or a yacht Master personally.
