the milgauss and the new iterations of air kings get no love from me. the milgauss has extra heft for an almost useless function, omegas do the same sans the bulky case. the new air kings have such busy dials.

I'm not a fan of the colored dial Milgauss look, but that watch is sweet. The White Dial looks very nice also. The newer ones.....not so much. The one you were offered and the white dial of the same vintage look the best with that otherwise hideous lightning bolt hand....you want actual anti magnetic....get an OMEGA! :) They even have a little bumblebee black and yellow hand too.....but at least its straight. Now go out and get that nice Milgauss and enjoy it!

I think it looks great but as some said, it’s too similar to your explorer.

I’d go for a sub, GMT, Datejust or something.

Just a touch over £5300 would get you a brand new DJ41, smooth bezel and choice of dial combinations. It would also be brand new with the new movement etc. Or stick in with an AD and you could bag a brand new Submariner no date for £5750.

That would be my money.

Definitely not for that price . For around the £4.5k mark maybe . Like it’s been stated very similar to your Explorer . I’d pass .

Honest opinion? Buy what you love.

That said, I love that model Milgauss but went with the white dial.

Thanks guys. Some fantastic feedback.

I decided to pass & will happily wear my Explorer until something really jumps out at me.

I have the white version, same year, mint, serviced, full set.
They seem to be going up in value at the moment, especially the white. Similar effect as the explorer 2 polar.
I’d let you have mine for a bit less than the £5300 that one was offered for if you are interested. Also in the UK.
Otherwise it’ll continue being a safe queen for a bit longer

Same brand and very similar to your exp1 especialy for a 2 watch collection. There are better options out there. No brainer. NO.

Good call. If you have reservations, best to wait. Sometimes the excitement of the moment passes and you’re glad you didn’t pull the trigger.
