I have a Rubber B on my Daytona now and love it. The tolerances are just amazing.

But I have to ask you guys a - probably - stupid question: How do you remove the longer of the two straps from the inside of the Oysterlock clasp without applying excessive force and/or scratching the inside of the clasp. I want to move it out by one notch, but I am clueless as to how I can compress the pin that's holding the Rubber B in place.

This is what it looks like right now:



I am sure there is an easy solution for this, but I may not be seeing the forest for the trees here.

No idea, but I would recommend these after market straps with buckle and tang rather than using them with a clasp. It makes life really simple.

It’s most definitely a poor design. You will have to place the spring bar tool between the inside of the clasp and rubber edge and put pressure on the rubber to bend it to get a hold of the spring bar.

Gotta disagree with this. I have one with the tang and one that uses the Rolex clasp, and the one that uses the clasp is the clear winner. Feels like it’s meant to work like that. Of course, mine is on my Sub, so the glidelock is perfect

I like it a lot. It's comfortable and fits the character and purpose of the watch.
I chose the tang buckle to allow easy adjustment for wrist expansion in hot weather.

I believe the spring bar you are looking for is in the last one or two rubber “links” (lowest two in your picture). So I think a spring bar tool gets wedged between the clasp and compresses the rubber and it should expose the spring bar. I saw an installation video and they put a spring bar through the second to last rubber link and then they put it in the clasp.

gt0279a is right, this is not what Patek does. The have much larger notches or gaps and smaller “links.” So even though they use a spring bar, it goes in the gap and is entirely visible from the inside of the clasp.

I am partial to Rubber B but only with the tang buckle. Unfortunately they don't offer that option for all Rolexes. I also have found out that fitting can be a challenge and sometimes the springbars need to be bent which I won't accept.

Tried Rubber B first, didn't like it nor the finnicky measure-cut-measure-cut approach. Also disliked the cheesy raised rubber "end link" where the strap fits in the lugs. Returned it and bought an Everest clasp version that's been awesome, is super comfortable plus it's a perfect fit for both my LN and Explorer so I can swap at will.

Pardon my ignorance but doesn't Rubber B make rubber bands? they make fabric ones now? It looks fantastic. One of my favorite watches is the AP End of Days and this has that look.

I contacted Everest a month or so ago and received a one line response, “Not available for the 126660.” So, I’ll go with Rubber B.

I had a Rubberb clasp model and enjoyed wearing it. To make a long story short, it is nowhere near oysterflex quality as its not a rubber coated metal bracelet. Before using the clasp model in somewhat harsh conditions examine the amount of rubber that holds the clasp to the rubber strap, it's pretty thin. For ease of setup and integrity I would use the buckle model. From warranty:

Rubber B is not responsible for any damage or loss to a strap or watch which occurs after purchase.

You might check out Vulcan straps from Great Britain. I bought one to replace my Rubberb and liked it better, however now I'm back to the Rolex bracelet.

Never owned the RubberB.
Went with the Everest for 2 published reasons; 1. Longer strap, more holes for adjustment.
So if you have bigger wrist perhaps Everest better fit.
2. Read that the Everest is softer while RubberB needs a “break in” period.

I own a rubber B(tang buckle) and i absolutely love it, currently wear it on my explorer 1(214270) but when i checked with Rubberb customer service the same strap is also compatible with my 114060.

I have wrists which are on the smaller side(6.75 inches) and if you have large wrists the straps will be too short.

purely from a comfort point of view i find the oyster bracelet a little bit uncomfortable when spending your entire day at a computer and tended to remove my watch when typing, however with the RubberB i just leave my watch on all day.

When I had my two deep seas I had rubber b’s for them and proffered them vs the SS bracelet. Super comfortable.
