I only take off the watch I’m wearing if it has a leather strap. Fabric, steel, rubber or two tone is fine, I don’t know what I’ll do one day when I’m wearing a gold one, probably wear it.

Blasphemy! Super Record for everything. I'm going to build up a Moots Routt soon for the forest service roads and single track at home in WA. It will be my first dabble into hydraulic. Italian hydraulic of course.

I wear my 228235 literally every night. Usually have a long sleeve shirt pulled over it. I go straight from my office. Not going to leave it in my car or a locker.

No watch in the gym unless it’s connected to a heart rate monitor...and NEVER while lifting.

I wear mine only during leg day. It gets in the way of wraps/straps during push/pull days.

Lock it my glove compartment and put on my beater TAG or Tissot. I'm in nice area but figure at worst if someone tried to do a quick break in my car, they'd be in a hurry and wouldn't have time to also break into glove compartment.

Always wear one, gym, business or holiday with pool or sea. Why not?
Today the AK in the gym.

No. No way. One guy does. Same guy that dresses to impress at the gym, talks more than he works out, tries to hit on girls, grunts, etc.

Though, I 100% feel your pain. I have gone to gym with my watch before accidentally. Went back to car and locked it in center console and worked out. I can’t imagine it being even remotely comfortable lifting weights.

Hey...how are you going to impress people, especially women, if you don't wear it while you are working out? You're at the gym man...let the pheromones fly! Be who you are! Or who you think you'd like to be!

Thanks to this thread I am currently having nightmares of what an olympic bar's knurling could do to a watch.

I would wear a gshock or smart watch to the gym, but in general dont wear any since it would interfere with my lifting (wrist wraps for heavy squats and bench)

gym

i've been wearing my 116710 for over 12 years to all activities: weight lifting, soccer, running, cardio, tennis. basically everything except boxing. The watch is solid, no issues whatsoever. I wear it at the gym because: 1) I have nowhere safe to stow it, 2) i want to know what time it is during my workout.

I just lifted with it today. I'm not leaving it in the gym locker room. It can handle much worse than some weight shock. Just be aware that is on your wrist so you don't go bashing it into things and it'll be a trooper.

Sub C, yes lift with it in the gym. Usually after work so no where to leave it otherwise and as others have said, the locker doesnt really do it for me re safety.

Lol, couldn’t agree more. People who wear their watch to gym seriously have me thinking as to why I own one. I am sadly in a group with some people who need attention very very badly!

Since I oftentimes work out while on lunch or after work, I wear it on my wrist. Not going to chance leaving it in the car or in my locker.

A watch would get in the way when I hit the gym, so no.

Ah this topic. Been back and forth on this one. I've seen a few in my gym (the "precious metals" gym) and I agree the lockers are way too flimsy to leave anything of value inside. So I actually bought one of those watch vaults on Amazon. This is not the Oakley ones as those apparently are unicorns but a knockoff brand for like $14 that surprisingly works very well. Fits my 40mm SD perfectly. So if I'm wearing it that day I'll remove it, wrap in my Rolex cloth my AD gave me so it's nice and snug and just carry the case with me along with phone and towel. You definitely need to be careful not to drop, step on, etc. but I've been dong this fr a while and never had any issues. Now I'd NEVER EVER do this with a DD mind you but removing it before working out s just to ensure no accidental cringeworthy accidents happen.
