I changed to Baguette Dial last year. No regrets, but kept the «old dial» if I change my mind :)

How did you get the dial? From your AD? Rolex? Thanks in advance

Baguette dial takes the platinum Daytona to another level IMO

The chocolate sub-dials are easier to read.

Barely.

I voted for no diamonds although I don't have a dog in this fight. I have no desire to own a Daytona.

Wow I’ve never seen the baguettes on a platinum Daytona. I’m not one for diamonds but I’m warming up to them more and more slowly

Had them both side by side back when I got mine - decided to go old school

Both look amazing, no wrong choice

I always go for contrast. I think choosing the diamond dial on this one is a big mistake. Diamonds can look nice on certain DD dials but they really don’t belong on a Daytona unless we’re talking about the completely iced out 116576TBR but this is no longer really a Daytona but a really flashy piece of jewelry.

You pay more (retail) for a worse looking watch IMO. Same situation with the platinum DD40. The glacier stick lume dial is nicer than baguette indices.

There’s no winner and loser here as both are stunning.Initially I wanted the non diamond dial but the dealer I buy from only had the diamond dial when I was buying 4 years ago.He told me that if I didn’t like the diamond dial at any point he would change it for me to the non diamond but 4 years on I still prefer what I have.It definitely must be experienced ‘in the flesh’-pictures don’t do the subtle yet stunning effect of the diamonds justice.

Detest the chocolate sundials - and bezel. Replaced with a black bezel and it was perfect for me.
