Returning the TT Serti Sub I bought, today. When I'm back I tell how it went and why I returned it.

If an AD has a return policy (up to 30 days) and the watch is undamaged, Rolex approves of reselling the watch as new.
I bought a SS Turnograph and returned it after 5 days, trading up to a TTDJ. I had all the paperwork, including the filled out warranty card, when I purchased the watch. The AD told a sales clerk to contact Rolex for a new warranty card. When I inquired about this, I was advised Rolex will reissue a new warranty card if the watch is returned within the required period undamaged.

you got to make sure you buy Untouched...and...Unworn God knows you paid the price to have the above 100%. I also agree with the return policy, but... the new retail price has to be adjusted to that of "USED GOODS" not brand new and of course the new buyer must be told. Buying a "virgin" and then... you do not like her cooking..??...Give me a brake. |

An item is only "new" once - period. Rolex can say what they want - it has zero legal bearing on this. How would you feel if they said one year instead of one month? Both are still used. |

JJ,
I guess this happend to someone you know? Yes, it doesn't sound right at all. In reality, how much does this go on? I would try putting myself in the dealers shoes on this. If I was a dealer, I would not allow a return once stickers are removed, etc.. You have the strength of the Rolex name to stand by. But I don't have the close knowledge of the watch selling "business". |

Return was no problem because the watch was a problem. Heres whats up, I purchased a bit more then a week ago, nice watch no doubt infact very nice watch and I bought it because I liked the dial so much, for me maybe not for others the dial looks great. Now onto the problem, the f'er won't stay wound. So I call the dealer yesterday they say no problem bring it down and they will make it right. I get there and I'am given three options 1. Send to Rolex for service 2. Exchange for whatever else I want or 3. Full refund. I choose the full refund since the watch has the swine flu No problem they say full refund issused. No pressure to buy or exchange and full refund in cash.
Now I know a bunch of you are gonna say why not get it fixed? Simple WTF would I want to have a brand new watch fixed for? Screw that. Ok then why not an exchange? Well thats easy also, no same model in stock and I ain't waiting 6-8 weeks to get another one in thats BS. But why not wait? Simple answer is as nice as the watch is and what I really mean is the dial, thats the thing that attracts me to this watch and really the only thing. It all comes down to the price paid for a hollow link 18kt. bracelet, and gold crown, and some gold on the bezel, which again I say is very nice but I hate the hollow bracelet. I felt as if I was getting ripped off by paying for this flimsey ass hollow bracelet. I know I know, Rolex uses 904L and its makes its own gold, but so what? It a total rip off. Looks good yes but in reality feels like cheap crap. So I got the cash and made the dash for the door but I did get a carmel latte before leaving. |
