Ha ha. Probably should have said the taste makes me cringe.
On another point If the Daytona’s were in the cases in 2008 then we just have to wait for everyone to get bored of watches and then we won’t have to do worry about avg spend it happened with panerai so why won’t it happen with Rolex |

I am in contact since 6 years with the biggest AD in my country. Bought 116613LB, BLNR & Cellini Date for my father in 2015-2016. When the DaytonaC published i asked and they put me into the list. 2017-2018 no calls and no possibility. Stopped asking and went grey dealer. Paid 21k usd for the white in 2019. My last conversation with their store manager is being in the waiting list is BS and he advised me to go “grey” since all the supply is controlled by the boss.
During that time i developed good relationship with my grey dealer. Everyweek or so he gets a DaytonaC & BLRO and think from where ??? And even with stickers if its requested so possible. |

As an easily recognisable status symbol, Panerai has nothing on Rolex.
Nobody has anything on Rolex. People who don’t love watches love Rolex anyway and couldn’t care less if Panerai was some sort of bread. Apart from the genuine niche brands, everybody else is riding on Rolex’s coattails and feeding off its scraps. So when the great correction that is so widely predicted comes, everyone’s going to flee anything that’s not Rolex first. Rolex is first in, last out. The rest are the opposite. Buy stuff that you actually want. If you get the Daytona, great. If not, you still have things that you want.
Don’t buy to build your account. |

That's right. I found out they have a sister store that carries other brands and built my account buying things I actually wanted like omega and a Lange to get the BLRO.
