Both SLGH003 and 005 are gorgeous, so cannot pass either one of them!

Both are stunning pieces but that Birch dial really pops!

I am not a fan of the lack of taper on the now 22mm bracelet. Dial is supremely good (top 5 GS for me). Been wearing on a Navy Croc.

I have wondered how a strap might look with the 22mm lug width..

It looks great!

that SBGA387 is a killer too!!

I saw this at the Rodeo Drive GS Boutique, the photos don't do it justice. When you see that dial it stuns you for at least 3 seconds.

Damn. Impeccable.

Great looking in the strap. Agree about the bracelet taper. Bracelet construction is next level, design choices are a miss.

I don’t mind the bracelet at all. I actually enjoy it because it is so much more substantial than most Gs bracelets. That being said that that strap looks fantastic!

Lol. You need to improve your tastes, all I can say. Grand Seiko is already classy, elegant and very thoughtful designs!

Yeah l like the bracelet too, it's wider and thicker than previous designs, feels solid.

The taper is minimal from 22mm to 20mm but I don't mind it either, maybe even actually prefer it.

Fully agree with you. Thicker and wider bracelet make SLGH series wearing more weight balanced and looked more sporty. That is one of the reasons why I got two.

Did they mention any in particular?

The Seiko Boutiques in Singapore have stopped taking orders for this watch! I asked why and they told me the interest list is too long and they also said the orders can only be taken again next year. We are only in early April 2021.

Good to see such level of interest in this new movement.

Very likely GS is finally going the Rolex way. More and more people understand GS is a far better quality than the crown for less money.

Look at what happens with the prices of second-hand SBGH267, SBGY003, SBGK005 and others. They’re far more expensive than Subs, although priced 60-70% of the latter at retail.

Yeah seems market dependent, some places sold out and some places still have a little stock. But either way WB seems to be doing well considering many people calling it too expensive for a Seiko.

Bought mine in Manila with discount from AD. Think they still have some in stock.

My first GS! Very pleased with it and have been using it as a daily driver for the past month.

I saw this in person last week. It was just bland and washed out to me. Gs def makes better dials than that one imho.

Def looks better on a strap.

Out of curiosity, if you could only buy one, which would you prefer? The Birch or the limited edition blue dial?

I am so tired to whiteness all the market manipulation play that is being done by Rolex and Patek who find it smart to ignore the customer demand in favor to what they think is „right“ for their brand. Hope that this will fall on their feet one day and this sooner than later!

The White Birch and the new movement are evidence how dead serious Seiko are and if it did not happen already, some people in Switzerland should start to fear the competition.

I hope that they will soon present a modified buckle/bracelet for easy micro adjustment.

The White Birch is absolutely gorgeous!
I process has already begun. And there is a cold war competition already between Rolex and Grand Seiko. I love competition and the switch manufacture should start innovating and not just give the same watch everything year!

White birch will be the one due to more beautiful dial and lower cost。 Don’t care too much at limited edition or not。However,if you zoom in 003 dial, you can find out its hour/minutes hands and hour markers have different polishing, than the 005。So 003 has its uniqueness too.

Are US ADs giving discounts on these? I have my eye on the SBGA413. The WB also looms amazing too but not sure if it’s worth an extra $3k. If a discount can be had for the WB then the decision becomes much more difficult...
