But the Tudor is less than half the price of a rolex so I expect the disparity.

It’s this sort of marketing that really puts me off Tudor. Less is more. And that’s coming from someone who was hoping for a BB58 GMT.

Who are they targeting with this type of video?

Just being honest, but nothing released by Tudor this year moves the needle for me.

I’m not a fan of green dials but my two favourite watches this year are green, the Nautilus and now this fantastic BB58

Other watchmakers in the same price point and even less have better clasps. Even Tudor has a better clasp (Pelagos). I’ve seen better clasps on $1K watches. Being half the price of Rolex has nothing to do with it, and I’m not sure why Rolex is the only thing that everyone seems to compare a Tudor to like everyone with one wants to think they have a Rolex on their arm.

The clasp blows and that’s about all there is to it.

I have what I consider to be one of the best bracelets in the game in the Royal Oak, that being said I'm not mad at the tudor clasp. It could be a lot worse, like 5 digit rolex worse.

I know - me also - why no gold bracelet?! I guess the price would have been too high for the Tudor target audience but even so it would have been an excellent statement and it could have been an option.

$5,225 USD for the Chrono is great value, but as an owner of the 79230N, I’ll say the case is too thick. Out of the 3 new models announced, I think that the silver BB 58 will likely be the most desirable due to price point and aesthetic.

Also pumped about the chrono and can forgive the thickness - I agree on the silver, that is bound to be a hit but not really a fan of taupe.

It's a silver alloy, so will have copper in there, probably zinc and maybe some other base metals. This will prevent tarnishing

I do agree here. I’d imagine to keep $$$ down.

Who’s spend to spend 20k on a Tudor?

Agreed, buddy, I’m into it as well! I would have preferred for it to have come on bracelet, but that would have priced it into the stratosphere.

I think the price is reasonable for this watch and I want one.

Tudor nailed it this year!

I hear the North Flag was discontinued in another thread. Pretty surprised they never developed that model into a full line. I really enjoy having a power indicator and works great on a pelagos rubber strap.

My question on Tudor becomes, what is the long term service strategy? Are they going to suggest replacing the movement as they have on the BB GMT, or will they actually fix the new in-house movements after warranty ends?

Might get expensive to swap movements at your cost at regular service intervals.

Absolutely love Tudor, but won't buy one with an in-house movement until that is answered.

Really like the new chrono.

The movement swap vs repair for new calibers is a cost saving measure. When there are enough new movements in circulation I'll bet the swap will give way to repairs.

My BB GMT & Pelagos w/ in house movements are the smoothest winding, easiest setting, and most accurate of any watches I've owned. I've been thoroughly impressed.

Sterling Silver BB58... I didn't see that coming. I'm not sure if there is any advantage to having 'silver' as a material other than it being a precious metal at a more cost affordable price than white gold.
The BB58 solid gold...on a leather strap or cloth strap it doesn't really do it for me. If I was in the market for yellow gold, I'd want a Rolex.
Anyway, all options and a little more interesting than Rolex's releases this year.
Will the silver tarnish?
