Dude seriously..your not leaving the site because of an avatar??That is just so petty... As much you wanted to show off your guns...maybe if its a Gun forum they might allow you...There rules you have to follow... as much as your an avid fan of guns..we have a lot of members here that collect guns too and they dont brag about the guns that they have...maybe people might be happy if we see what collection of watches you have... You also have to think that we have kids in this forum...Please dont be to imature giving this reason to leave the forum because you cant post you gun....I tried to post a pic of my before and still get a warning..so relax and enjoy the forum!!!

Although enough about this has been said, I thought I'd take the opportunity to add something more (who's gonna stop me? ).

What is sad is that the OP takes this personally. He likes guns, his photos are removed and thus he's leaving this forum. His good right. I do however, take offence to the remark about censorship and especially the presumption that this is based on personal bias!

There's censorship all around us (movie ratings, the Superbowl incident, in case of the use of profane language, etc.) and taken out of the context, censorship seems like a bad thing. Sometimes it is not. As other members (and the sticky) have stated, it is not about the guns or knives themselves. Guns, knives, politics and religion belong in a list with topics that tend to be avoided. (Except on gun, knives, politics and religion fora of course ). Why? Because they inevitably lead to an overheated pro/con debate that amounts to nothing and only becomes nasty.

The personal bias part, not in the least in my case but I speak for myself, is just not true. And yet I fully support every decision when it comes to the topics mentioned above! Guns, knives, etc. come with a completely different emotional charge when compared to cars or wine.

I'm not going to ask you to return to the forum. If you feel so strongly about this alleged violation of your rights, you must be adamant anyway.

That could be arranged and so simple to do just a push of a single button so perhaps best to all get back on topic.

I would have to read the thread to figure out what the original topic was all about. Man, that would be like work.

If I'm entirely honest this thread is a good example of how great a forum like this can be.

It started negatively and reasoned, intelligent responses were given, many in support of the rules that bind and hold the place together.

Moderators were involved and made comments regarding the initial post and things remained friendly.

Eventually the lunatics took over the asylum and turned the thread onto a whole new course.

I understand the OP has issues with his pictures and freedoms etc and I'm unsure as to whether he has scooted off permanently but if anything this thread is a shining example of a reason to stay posting.

A great community with great feelings, sympathy for international members, intelligent arguments and responses and a top sense of humour!
