I have made the same choice with the DJ 36 Blue but decided to source the Oyster bracelet in addition to the Jubilee to have a more sporty look and reduce the bling factor of jubilee+fluted bezel.

You always wanted a red or yellow Rolex entry level model that has been out for maybe a year? Drink the tiger blood you are winning!

Great looking watch. Blue dial is stunning. Personally , i'm just not a fan of the Jubilee retirement home / early bird special bracelet.

You should buy an OP41 as well so you have a choice, depending on the occasion.

The only thing worse than buyers remorse is sellers remorse.
Some of the watches I've sold over the years I kick myself every day when I think aboutit

You should do what you like, even if that means selling your current watch.

That said, that DJ is a great looking watch and it looks absolutely spectacular with your chosen attire. You might want to try wearing it every day for a week or so before selling it. If you have only worn it once, you may not have had ample opportunity to appreciate the watch for all it is?

Are you kidding me? You may have accidentally purchased the DJ41 but it is indeed

When in doubt, do without. Seems like your not sure about your purchase.

Your probably not going to like the the DJ41 blue. You said “ it’s a better watch, and gorgeous.” I think your trying to convince yourself that it is.

I personally would not purchase something that I’m not 100% sure i want. Especially at the price point of the DJ41.

I think the blue dial DJ41 is the better choice out of the other colors you mentioned.

I also think the bright colors of the new OP's, although hot right now, may end up being the least desirable in the future IMHO. I think the least desirable of the new OP colors (silver and black) may be more sought after in the future.
I would keep the DJ you bought. Timeless watch design and great color for all occasions.
Good luck

Are you saying you have remorse for purchasing the DJ41 blue? We can't tell you otherwise. Only you know that. Most on here would think the DJ41 Blue is an amazing all around watch, for play and dress. I say wear the heck out of it.

DJ41 especially with your gonfig is miles better than any OP41. Rolex will produce more OP41 with time, no need to feel bad it's just an OP, you have the iconic DJ with the best config out there.

The cartoonish colors of the OPs would at least go significantly better with that bracelet...that could be what is causing your doubt.

I'm not sure that I understand the OP's question.

Buyer's remorse? Sure. Most of us have BTDT. How you deal with it is a personal choice.

Me, I sell it and move on.

The DJ you purchased is a classic and looks great. Start wearing it daily and enjoy it. If you want an OP then get with a few AD's and show interest and wait to buy one. In the mean time just enjoy the DJ. When your turn on the OP comes around you can have a nice two watch collection. Do not over think it and enjoy what you have.

I have learned in my limited experience with watches that ignorance is bliss. I got interested in watches when I excelled in my career and thought an $8800 aqua terra was expensive. Then I learned that rolexes don’t lose value so I got the OP 41. I always used to be a sports watch guy and had been wearing a 44mm Tissot T-Race for the last 6 years and before that grew up wearing fossil watches. Then I learned that the Submariner went up in value and was a sports watch so I chased that and got it then I saw people flaunting their land, sea and air collections so I have started fervently searching for a GMT although the AD that sold me the OP promised to have me my Root Beer before the end of the year.

Had I not learned about these things about Rolex I probably would’ve been totally fine getting whatever watch and been fine with it. I think everyone is different some of us chase what we want some of us are influenced and some of us have fomo it’s normal. My $0.02 is if you have buyers remorse that you wanted an OP and have not worn the DJ you will also most likely have sellers remorse when you get rid of it. If you don’t need the money I suggest the that you keep the DJ ref you have because it really is a popular one and you may grow to like it and if you don’t you can always still sell it down the line it’s not like it won’t sell.

Hey, you like what you like but if it were me, DJ all the way. I wouldn’t give the OP41 a second thought.
If you want bright colored dials, get a Michele at the mall

Depends what else you have in your collection but if this was meant to be an everyday sort of partner watch, I think you made 100000000% the correct decision. If on the other hand you have a bunch of other watches 10+ then the OP would have been an interesting addition.

It's always best to stick with the initial plan and not settle for something else but granted it's a done deal now:
Give it some wrist time. See if you can bond with it.
I understand this is something completely different from the OP but this is a watch you can't go wrong with.
And you can always add the OP down the road.

Have had buyers remorse with lots of watches but never a Rolex. I have had sellers remorse every time I've let a Rolex go! Recently made a promise to myself to not sell any Rolex I end up with.

OP
No one on the forum can tell you what to do or if you made a good decision, only you can do that.
I would wear the watch, if it does not put a smile on your face, then sell it, it’s no big deal and then try to buy what you want.
Good luck.

I actually quite like the new OPs and just purchased the silver dialed version; hardly hideous!!! On the other hand I'm not as fond of the DJ's bezel and blingish appearance. I also always seem to lose on the sale end of the DJs I've owned. OPs are hard to source now where as there are a lot of DJs available as far as I can tell although blue dials are in demand. I saw cases full of DJs yesterday but no OPs. I've been working since the new intros to find one and finally did yesterday although it was hidden away and I was pushed to buy a DJ41. I've gone down the DJ rabbit hole before and know where it leads.
