20 years - that’s a wonderful bond you’ve made with your Sub.

Pretty sure he has an amazing Daytona from his father? And some others. He isn’t here to boast like some on this forum.

How about your 16610? How's that doing?

That's amazing. Mine is worn in a rotation of about ten watches, so it's never far off before it gets swapped out. Currently enjoying my 5513, about +5 per day, but not certified, for a cleaner dial.

Thanks. The only advice I'd give you is extreme caution, the vintage market can be a minefield, so buy from a known expert if at all possible, and do loads of research first. There are so many different versions of the 5513, so it pays to know which precise variant you are looking for. Mine is a Mark 1 Maxi dial, FWIW.

There are some very nice watches in this thread.

To my eye, the five digit watches look so much better that the larger case later versions.

I totally agree, and I quite actively dislike the subsequent 6-digit supercase variants on aesthetic grounds. Just as well, because you can't get them at reasonable prices!

Happy Anniversary!! She is still in fantastic shape! I love my 14060M and hope to pair it up with a 16610 in the next year or two. I'm hoping to spend my final 20 years with it!!

I agree OP, this was probably the most iconic iteration of the sub. So perfect in every conceivable way. Love mine too

I work in the office most of my life on the computer, but when I do things like fixing the car or adventurous things like hard-core sports and so forth, I wear a casio to beat on. But otherwise the watch is on me 24-7. Pics don't really show the scratches and tiny dings here and there. Probobly need a 10x magnification glass to see the imperfections. Otherwise it looks like new from 2 feet away lol

This is exactly what I mean. You don't have to service a watch every 5 to 10 years IF IT WORKS! Some Rolexes work perfectly for 20-30 years after a service. It is rediculous that some people service their Rolexes every 5 years.
