My boutique told me yesterday the worldwide release is 500pieces only.

He has no news from the mothership to share pertaining to a stainless model being released.

Nothing in the historiques collection is priced without a premium.

The Royal oak doesn’t have exquisite finishing, totally lost with that comment. What VC did need to do was put in a different rotor now it’s open case back.

222 will divide opinion for those that don’t like it. The OS Ultra thin is what you really want.

This.

I for one, love they they changed basically nothing over the 222. I love timepieces that tell a story, and having the design remain as the original is perfect for me. The smaller and thinner size definitely makes it more dressy; a fine departure from the norm imo

That being said I've recently obsessing over the OS Ultra-thin, however they are different enough they could co-exist in the same collection imo

You have amazing relationship with VC! Can’t wait for the pics. It is too small for your wrist?

Thx guys. I was 100% sure it would be too small for my wrists but tried it on at an event and it’s amazingly not. The shape of the bracelet makes it wearable for small and large wrists. It’s pretty surprising!

I’ll post up pix and reviews soon etc

Definitely not. Comparing gold references only though the 222 is priced about $14k higher than Overseas 4500V.

222 is in the Historiques line which means it's a rerelease of a rare or important piece that has been slightly tweaked with some modern conveniences and manufacturing methods. It's a collectors piece. As a daily the 4500V would be a more modern design with creature comforts like a second hand, hidden micro-adjustment bracelet, and quick release rubber/leather/metal band swapping. The movement on the 4500V has more power reserve as well as that aforementioned seconds hand.

At 37 mm the 222 is about nostalgia, charm, and elegance.

The Overseas line also includes higher complications: chrono, perpetual calendar etc.
