I've already mentioned this before eijiboy (go back and read it, also a locked thread), I don't care if the price is going in either direction, if there is argumentative conversation, the thread will be locked and or removed! If there is silly accusations, generalizing, name calling, blatant untruths, they may even get removed entirely! Therefore, once again, and aside from a topic that is clearly against the stated rules YOU agreed to upon signing up to TRF, controversial and argumentative content is at the discretion of moderation, that's it. Either join the boards in actual watch conversations within the realm of accepted content, or don't. But to continually complain will mean memberships start to become a fraction fewer. Take that as a conspiracy, or a warning...whatever you prefer.

I get what you are saying, but in practice, there is the appearance of unfairness in deciding what threads get shut down or not. Some threads about decreasing pricings appeared to get shut down only after a few posts, none of which said anything disparaging about greys, the market, or other posters. It's also a 2 way street. Let's say people start posting about lowering bids and sales in the secondary market. Then some troll comes in at says something disparaging about a poster who was saying prices are coming down. Is this then your cue to shut down the discussion? Because it may be in someone's interests to shut it down by provoking others who want an honest discussion about pricing? What we signed up for is fine. It's the execution and who makes those decisions that makes/gives some the feeling of impropriety. |
