Exactly this. Models will become available as grey market prices approach retail. Otherwise enthusiasts will still be struggling to compete with every social media influencer who probably call/visit multiple ADs daily to enquire.

Just wait and buy - second hand prices for mass production Rolex is still ridiculous. For anyone who has the money to splurge there are many other brands to considered.

In no reality is subs are worth 20k unless maybe YG - ask any dealer.

I spoke to two SAs this weekend. Both confirmed business has slowed significantly and many are passing! ADs are now forcing VIPs/flippers to buy two tone DJs to get a professional model! Now I know why displays are still empty!

This will take years to unwind. Years.

Presumably because most of current demand at ADs is from flippers, and large proportion of overall demand is from investors who store the watches away. Remove them, then the watches will only be bought by those actually want a Rolex.

Several from AD over last 3 months. Some special products from other similar demanded brands.....Definitely not back to yesteryear, but better than last year.

Could be due to my history with them, I don't know for sure....

Nothing here in the UK seems any easier I spend alot at AD they’ve told me a lot of people have come in to sell watches lately, no difference in supply. Or people passing.

Reason being is oddly enough I got a text from an SA from a chain who at one location I’ve spent over a 100k, and at this location zero, asking about if I were still interested in certain watches. I visited them about 4 months ago and never heard a thing even after sending the same SA a nice email until yesterday.

Told the SA yes I am absolutely still interested to which the SA replied my extensive purchase history was very much appreciated. It’s a A D under the exact same name, multiple locations. So we shall see. I had assumed that random visit was a waste and still might be but whatevs. I was in town and passed by. Nothing lost. Nothing gained. As of yet anyway. I was told by the SA that they were updating there “books”, I assume want lists and that I would be first in line for whatever she gets allocated. Basically along the lines of if a piece comes in, all the SA’s state there claim for why there customers deserve it and then the manager decide which SA gets to sale it.

Long reply yes but if I’m getting random texts who knows maybe things are getting better. What’s odd is my main SA at the other location who was reaped all the benefits of my entire spend history I’m now getting crickets from of late and has been that way for about a year now. Who knows really. Thankfully I’m not really like on the hunt but if one of my wants comes in I may have to bite
