Keep wearing it, there will be more to come! The feeling of “damn it” will probably pass. If it bothers you to the point of absolutely having to fix it…you’re going to be a very worried, paranoid, pissed off, Rolex owner. If I personally got to that point, I’d become a $500 and under only, watch owner.
I’d only offer one more suggestion….if you have multiple Rolex, designate one or however many, as the “special occasion/keep pristine watch/es” ….and one or two daily, “I’m not too concerned with scratches, watch/es”. (Beater as others call it)
Get ‘em polished at service time.

Is it possible to damage the finish on your Rolex by staring at it too much?

I couldn't wear a watch if something like that bugged me so glad it doesn't. I have two watches with scratched crystals currently that I wear all the time without being bugged

Agreed

He questioned resale value IF he gets the watch polished. Hardly surprising given the number of posters who recoil in fear over refinishing and claim the watch is ruined as a result.....

Indeed. The only people getting "bent out of shape" are those mocking the OP's concern about the scuff

Generally speaking, I like my watches to be in as unmarked condition as possible. As I do with most of my belongings. Its a matter of preference and nothing whatsoever to do with affordability.

I wear them, enjoy them, but prefer not to have them scratched, scuffed and beat up.

OP, that scuff will easily come out with just a light polish. Get it fixed if it bothers you

Would any high end jeweler be able to buff that out, and would it affect resale since it's been "polished"?

Also, how the hell does this happen when the roughest thing I do during the workday is type aggressively.....
I've worn my BLRO everyday since I got it back in 2020. Wear the watch. Don't worry about scuffs.

I'm with you, to put it simply I like my "nice things" to stay nice. For me there is a certain joy in knowing that I can wear/use my toys and still have them look like the first day I bought them.

Dude. Please follow up with how the “Hey babe your looking kinda ugly and all used up so, if you could do something about that, that would be great” conversation goes.

It's a Rolex, not a jewel.

Get over it, hopefully it will be the first of many more.

They come out of nowhere. Happens always. Belts are like snakes. Be careful putting them on. Risks everywhere!
