What's the odds that a thief takes the chance of breaking into a car, stealing a bag but doesn't go through it thoroughly enough to find this watch. I mean it's not like they stood beside the car while searching the bag. They would have had plenty of time to pull everything out and search every pocket. Just a crazy story if this all ends up as it currently seems to line up. Good luck OP but please be careful.

I'm skeptical by nature and training/experience but these two facts are in misalignment. There's still holes in the story. But don't misunderstand - I hope each and every stolen Rolex gets reunited with its proper owner. |

Just don't wear a different Rolex when you go to pick up the first one...

Cruising down Route 88, I see a wet and nasty backpack, think I'll pull over and check it out. Oh my!!! A discovery Rolex! Let me go on a website and see if anyone has posted about this being missing.
Yeah, this all fits together very nicely.

I think I'd go get my watch. And then punch the guy in the face for stealing it and breaking my window
But that's internet Brad. I'd probably just shuffle my feet and thank him in real life.

Whatever the case OP and everyone.....
Remember when Neil Peart (drummer/percussionist for Rush) lost his Patek? Was in his motorcycle side storage and it fell off. Good people found the case and a number to call.... http://www.2112.net/powerwindows/tra...ilpeartnws.htm

Let's see some "proof of life" for the lost Daytona. Can the owner and the 'finder of the lost' post some pics?
Like others here, I remain skeptical.

in my life time, i've lost my wallet 3 times and they were always returned to me intact. I've found woman's purses and bags and men's wallet and i've always returned them to the owners. Lucky you say....Karma....just blessed..yeah and lucky! one of the times i was getting divorced, it took 21 months, i was homeless, living anywhere i could and broke. I found a ladies bag at a grocery store parking lot in a grocery cart. It was full of cash ($500), $30 worth of quarters, a blank check signed with no name on signed to the order, a social security card, insurance card and a drivers license. I was broke but i couldnt keep it. I went to the address on the license, she didnt live there any more but they were able to find her. Ohhh she was shocked and so happy and she tried to give me some of her money but i couldnt take it...i told her that if she ever found something that wasn't hers to pay it forward...because i have lost and somehow it has been returned back to me...Karma Man!!! |

To the tune of Hotel California
Discovery: Daytona On a dark desert highway Cool wind in my hair Need a drink and a pit stop But no need to despair Up ahead in the distance I saw a red bulls eye My range grew short and my bladder full Had to stop for a bite As I stood in the doorway I heard the Tesla bell And I was thinking to myself "I thought I locked it, but I couldn’t tell" Still I stepped into Target Then a coke and a pee When I got back to the Tesla, dear What then did I see? Welcome to the lost Rolex Daytona Valuable quarry Unlikely story There’s plenty of hope in the Rolex Forums postings But we can’t deny Probably all a lie Serial searching on Google finder of the lost Sees a thread and responds in kind Unaware of the cost And then he’s calling the owner, not far away You can meet me down in Placerville Discovery: Rolex Welcome to the lost Rolex Daytona Valuable quarry Unlikely story There’s plenty of hope in the Rolex Forums postings But we can’t deny It may all be a lie |
