I will give some leeway with regards to the bracelet as it looks like the Rolex Jubilee bracelet. As a package though, it’s a disaster at 520k. I saw the interview with both Pierre and JCB, where Pierre said that they wanted to start at the most complicated version first before moving downwards to simpler complication. But a watch doesn’t have to be complicated to be great. The RRCC1&2 clearly demonstrated that. I’m afraid this venture might harm JCB’s reputation which he has worked hard to develop over the last few decades.

And his media friends still refuse to tell him the truth. Look at all the glowing reviews from them all. Such great “friends” indeed.
Da ist der erste positive Kurzkommentar.
Die Uhr ist wunderschön!

It does reminds me of the Otsuka Lotec I posted recently.
Love the front of the watch but unfortunately I still can’t get past the caseback. Shame cause thats an excellent piece point.

Is the Ingenieur really all that IWC released this year? I like the design, not sure about the dials, need to see in person. And $14K? Wow. And not in a good way.

The arrow at 12 o'clock is pointing at the minutes.

I think the draw of this watch is the complexity in making those fingers work. SJX has quite a good write-up on the technical side of this complication.

I agree. Their communications / IT teams seems to be 1/2 of a part-time person. I will stop by there on Thursday and post a video myself.

I REALLY wanted to like whatever he put out since he's one of my favorite entrepreneurs of all time...but it's very disappointing.
I share the same sad feelings, JCB is one of my myths and I want hime to succeed in everything he does.

Agreed, very sharp and correctly priced. I expect it to trade below retail on the grey market.

As a smaller watch guy, I was also intrigued by the Carrera 36, which is finally back in an automatic, truly unisex (no MOP, no stones) variety. Hoping for a blackout version in future (like the old quartz).

Especially when compared to the Zenith releases. All of the time/date watches Zenith has brought out this year were under $10,000 except for the new all-ceramic Skyline and the new pilot seems a better watch than the new Ingenieur or Mk XX.

It's quickly becoming a favorite brand (of mine) and seemingly making a big comeback from some of its recent over the top designs. Can't wait to see whether the smaller Skyline pieces get more case/dial options or the Pilot gets a midsize version.

I just put my name down for one.

Delivery in Jan 2024 !

Looking at prices of some of the other brands now, $21k seems to be a "steal" for a SS Chronograph with a skeleton dial.

I love the new tonda, but man...they really skimp on finishing compared to the OG toric/ionica models. I wish they'd do that and just charge a bit more.

Congrats! That’s a great choice. I know I should jump on that as well but I’m gonna wait and see it in person to make sure it doesn’t look silly on my wrist first. I hate that it’ll mean a longer wait but at that price and size I gotta be sure.
