To me that looks absolutely awful, like have a scratched up classic car!
I have used protection stickers on Rolex and AP watches for years now, I think they’re great, keep the watch looking as near to mint as possible
I can’t agree with all this tool watches and let them get scratched talk, they are expensive luxury items that should be looked after in my opinion

I think it's quite the opposite. These watches are made for those for whom it is a part of everyday life and for whom these watches are not luxury items at all. Just because more and more people have been buying watches, will not change the fact that these are still not luxury items for the ones for whom these watches were originally intended for.

Nowadays this follows, that just because someone could be able to buy a watch doesn't mean they can afford it. This shows that such persons are no longer purchase these watches because they want to enjoy these, but because they want to prove mostly for themselfs, but sometimes for the others how good they really are.

Please don't take this as an insult, I don't mean it. To me, this result is simply due to how many threads like this and "is it safe to wear" are starting to open up on a Rolex forum.

I vinyl wrapped my BMW K1600B in a different color, and all I saw when I went to the wrap shop was high end exotic sports cars being fully or partially wrapped with clear PPF. So I guess it's okay to protect your 'performance' car, but not for your "tool" watch?
Hypocritical if you ask me.
No PPF on my Rolex and no PPF on my Ferrari, I enjoy both as there were intended, each to their own, I'm not one for fussing over a few stone chips and some scuffs on my watch, life is too short.
But also, I am careful within reason, I don't follow other cars closely, and I have worn watches almost my entire life so being careful comes second nature...
My DSSD has little to no scuffs, some small micro scratches as you'd expect, its my daily driver....
Although the Ferrari is not my daily driver.....

I'll buy 4 more Royal Oaks if I want them to look nice. These are just wristwatches not museum pieces. If I wasn't comfortable using a watch as it was intended i wouldn't buy one.
