What a profound observation! Will you teach me to scuba dive? Oh wait, my Submariner has a date. So, ………never mind!

There are 2 Subs. The Submariner and the Submariner Date. I don’t have a Sub. But if I got one, I want the iconic one which came first.

Personally, i like it much better no date - the only true Submariner.
I recently got the opportunity to buy date model from Ad and i like much much better no date.

No Date for me, I never set the date on my watches.

I just use a watch to tell the time and to drool over

Have both, but a true diver should have No Date.

For me it depends on what in the rest of your collection. Most of my watches have dates including my 116610LV so I'm waiting on the 126610.

Submariner. That cyclops is a hideous wart and I’ll have nothing to do with one.

Why, exactly? What difference does it make? Seiko makes some really wonderful ISO certified divers, and they ALL have dates. Many are day dates.

If your prime use for the watch is diving, then no-date.

If you rarely or never actually use the watch for diving then date.

this was my approach as well: I have both, and wear both (plus GMT). sub is a nice clean and iconic look
