I tried it on this morning and although I like GMT function in general I don't like the watch for my smaller 17cm wrist. I'm also not a fan of the dial as it looks flat nor the NATO strap. I walked out with a mint DJ instead.
Tbh if my wrist could wear it I'd rather get the explorer 2. |

Wait, they just had a mint DJ sitting in the case? Yes, I agree - I’d way rather have that over the Tudor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Like that but find the insert font really 'challenging'. Black FXD is one of my favourite releases the last few years and great value on the secondary market but I can't get over the font.

Essentially but not in the case. As I was about to leave, the SA kindly asked if I'm short on time and I said I can wait a bit and then he took it out from the back saying if I want it I can have it.

Tried it on at the AD in person today. It actually was a lot nicer than I was expecting. I don't think it's different enough from my regular blue FXD MN to "upgrade", but I did think it was quite well done. In person the bezel is not busy at all. The strap is a little stiff, likely because I was one of the first to try it out. I didn't think I'd ever say this, but I think I do honestly like the velcro strap better. Velcro is seriously underrated. However, the MN strap has a really cool colored MN logo on the fabric keeper. The bezel action was great as expected. The faux-lume was honestly fine to me. It was less "faux lume" colored in person. More like a warmer and slightly darker than white lume color. Hard to describe. Not like a dark yellow-y patina color, but more like the creamy off-white color as on the LHD, which made it more tolerable. Same with the bezel markings. Overall, nice watch. Not super exciting as far as the possibilities go, but Rolex/Tudor has always been more about evolution than revolution.

Checks a lot of boxes for me and I will be adding it to my collection. Nice substitute for my BLRO when I don't want to wear in dubious cities while flying for work. Like the ruggedness and tool watch look to it.

I actually really like this release. Earlier on in this hobby I used to wonder how my tastes and interests could possibly extend beyond Rolex but have managed to find merit in Tudor and, more importantly, Tudor on fabric. This is the beauty of watch collecting and has led me to figure out I’m actually not a fan of the Black Bay line but am more of a Pelagos guy.
I own the black FXD on fabric and the blue Pelagos on titanium. As someone else mentioned, I really love my FXD on fabric with velcro - seems cheesy but works so well for getting a perfect fit every single time. In terms of the fabric straps Tudor uses, Julien Faure is a French company that produces all of Tudor’s fabric straps on old-world mechanical looms. There are videos out there on this company and I really gained an appreciation for the straps after seeing these. The straps are, by no means, middle-of-the-mall garbage. I got to see this watch at my AD's yesterday. They received one for exhibition but would not sell it because Tudor had instructed them not to sell it yet. That is a very common practice now and really does not sit well with me, but I don't think Tudor cares. Very cool watch and one that in the moment I would have purchased at full price. Now that I am away and have looked at my black FXD on the green strap it may just be too similar. I also own the FXD MN and these watches are some of my favorites. Will I buy this new FXD, maybe, if offer relatively soon. But make me wait and I will find something else that I fancy and will not. I do not see this watch being a big seller, more of a niche model. Once initial demand is satisfied I see it sitting in the case. We will see.

Looks cool!
From a BB Pro owner. Never a fabric strap guy due to cleanliness issues, with sweat and grime accumulating. I like to wash my BB Pro after each use. |

Could you link the Bremont with that particular strap?
Looks to me like Bremont also made a black GMT and someone has pasted in the strap from the FXD GMT. I mean beyond the fact they are matte black GMT watches the FXD GMT is larger, titanium, and has the jumping hour functionality. |

Regardless if I like the watch or not (I don't) I wouldn't want to wear something that has military related logo visible, much less of a foreign country. The MN stamp on the back of the Blue FXD is fine but not out on display.

Agreed but this is not as ostentatious as a Navy SEAL watch.

The best new Tudor release this month is the Tudor Harrods 175th limited edition. Shame they are all sold already.
