The dial is a refinished 16610 one from an eBay seller. The combination really caught my attention since I can't afford the WG Blue/Blue original...

Here's a newer wrist-shot...it does grow on you after a short while!!

Keep up the "classy comments" about TRFers and I suspect that you will only be making remarks on other websites....

Beautiful

P.s. I am currently convincing myself that the explorerII is a must have since it can double as a compass! ;]

I take it that English is not one of your strong suits..
English being a strong suit of mine , i will try to enlighten you in a way that does not travel over your head !

what he means (here on Earth) when he says "you will only be making comments on other websites" is that if you continue to type negative comments the moderators here will have a hard time coming up with a positive use for you here and will ban you from the site !

modifying watches is a touchy subject here and could be argued both ways , but the internet is hardly a worthy place to carry on an argument ! the work involved in just keeping this site going is enough without the added issue of dealing with negativity ! The moderators will be left with only a couple options

1. close this thread , which will deprive those interested in seeing these mods of the opportunity to do so!

2. ban you , which will deprive you from a wealth of knowledge and exposure to nearly unlimited info regarding a brand of watch that we all commonly adore !

i'm not seeing a positive outcome to your behavior here !

edit : option 2 wins , his status went from TRF member to Banned while i typed this response !

for you daytona modifiers out there ! are the sub dials removable from the dial ?? it seems that one could essentially create two very cool watches by getting a black dial SS daytona and a white dial SS daytona and brushing the PCL's , swapping the sub dials , and adding a modified black bezel to each !! has anyone dissected one of these dials !! i may be in the market for a SS daytona sooner than i thought if it is this easy !

RSC will not service a modified watch. They will, however, bring it back to original at the owners expense plus the cost of a service.

The earlier answer from you is going to influence me in the direction that if I do choose to modify I will do things that are easily reversible😜

If you haven't something nice to say, why do you bother to answer in the first place ?!?!?!?

And unfortunately i have to admit that English is not one of my strong suits..since it isn't my native language.

Also i have to admit that i love mods and i have some modified Rolex....Should i have to worry for my private parts ?!?!?!?

What an awesome looking watch! I've always felt if the Daytona came stock with the black bezel, I'd have to get one. Gives the watch a totally different look IMO

Luckily for my bank account it doesn't... yet.

What reference is this and what's modification exactly?

Love the photos & keep 'em coming'! I've always wondered what a 216570 with an orange date wheel would look like? Would the orange numbers be more legible?

I believe the only mod is the black bezel. Also note it's on the Zenith Daytona (which comes with black subdial surroundings versus silver in the current SS Daytona).
