Tried one of these on today and it was amazing. Bit smaller next to my Exp II...but stunning nonetheless. I see one in my future...

Hi everyone, first time poster, all these photos look great. I was considering a newer GMTII black maxi bezel version with the 50th green arrow, and that little hint of green really whet the appetite. So now I'm considering the 16610 green bezel black dial version and have a couple questions.

1) Some of the bezel greens look a little lighter than others. Are they? Or have they just faded? Difference in lighting could also do it.
2) Did this 50th anniversary edition come with a black bezel insert that you can easily do yourself?
3) Relatedly, I see green inserts sold on ebay for both the 16610 and 116610. I'd be ok with this, as I'm not a stickler for having the actual "50th" watch and could go with a standard 16610 or 116610. I'm not looking for resale, I'm looking for a lifetime watch.
4) I've seen differing reports for the ability to replace inserts without an AD with 16610 and 116610s, and it could help decide which way I go.

Thanks! Love the forum. (And yes I did search for >45 minutes for these answers, my apologies in advance).

Go research on Google 16610lv vs 116610lv for side by side comparison. For 16610lv there are several variations due to production time. Differences are minor but big enough for collectors only. Most true anniversary is the Y serial with lime green insert. Most expensive one among all. Aluminum and ceramic insert don't inter change and I would suggest staying way from eBay for bezel insert. Hope it helps!
