I don't wear a Rolex at work because I don't want to have all the scratches for desk diving.

If I had one I would! No one here would notice. I wear my Snowflake regularly, no one knows what it is.

I have had to wind my SubC maybe three times all year. I hardly ever take it off. Best money I ever spent.

I attend German classes at work. Our German teacher has once recognised my Tudor and started joking saying that I was an oligarch etc. I felt a little awkward at that moment because my German was not good enough to fight back Funnily, he has never recognised my Sub (or at least has never commented on it).

There is another watch guy in the office with whom we talk watches sometimes, which is cool.

I wear bought my watch to work everyday. I see other associates parked with their second/third vehicle sometimes with their boat hitched.I'm not jealous whatsoever, each to their own.. I have one car and a few SS and PM's therefore don't care what any of them think.

My job is pretty messy so I wear my daily which is my seamaster. I wear the Rolex’s after work or on the weekends.

Only when I don’t wear a Panerai or Vacheron... Kidding (but not really actually), I just rotate the collection. Mainly wear my Pam 424, because that’s generally the watch I wear most, but when a Rolex comes up, I’ll have no second thoughts about wearing it to work.
Then again, I essentially live at work, so if not there, I wouldn’t get to wear watches much.

Yes. Nobody at my work notices, largely they don’t wear watches, and the people who do all wear rubbish which I wouldn’t be happy with.

Why not? You wear your Rolex because you want to use it, not to brag to your officemate about your prize possession

My 2 cents

I work in IT in a corporate world and they're all wearing those Apple wrist device thingies. Although I haven't had the pleasure of finding the right Rolex for me yet, I will no doubt wear it to work. My boss wears a Timex that is so small she can't read it anyway, and wouldn't know a Rolex from the Omega, Seiko, or Tag that I typically wear to work now.

having just received my platinum Daytona yesterday, I have some concerns about wearing mine to work as I am in construction and have only worn my submariner for the last 27 years. I will find out who notices. Not that it matters but in a family business who knows....

What is your rank/position in the company? Wearing a watch of such value (seems to be going for $65k+ in used condition on Chrono24) and bling may be a bit vulgar if you are surrounded by people on a construction site who struggle to make much of a living.

Every day. Most people don’t notice watches unless they’re also into them I’ve found.

People can notice a watch very quickly when you are interacting with them closely. For example when you hold something up to show them, or when you rest your arm on something in their eyeline, there are many ways for them to see it. Also, a Rolex is a name that culturally and reputationally almost everyone in 1st and 2nd world countries knows or has heard of, so even when they don't know anything about watches they still immediately recognize it and know it costs a lot of money.

I wear mine everyday. Sometimes it gets the odd blood or saliva splatter, doesn't bother me one bit. Luckily it's slim enough to fit underneath nitrile gloves.

It’s disappointing. I wear a very hard to get Rolex daily and I’ve had maybe two people comment on it and neither know how difficult it was to get. Lol

I get where you’re coming from but most people won’t say anything.

Dude, me too. My boss has a sub so he noticed and one other coworker noticed. But, like you said, most are Apple watch people. One guy has a ceramic one so that’s neat. I stopped wearing my Apple Watch once I got the Rolex lol

Congrats and excellent choice

Honestly though, only a small subset of the population would have any idea what you're wearing...I'd be more worried about messing up the watch in construction than I would what other people think.

In my work place, the managers are wearing high horology pieces like JLC, H Moser and one is Laurent Ferrier, only some junior staff like executives are wearing Rolex (GMT and explorers ) .. so, as a manager, I’m wearing a seiko. An odd ball and I like it.

If this blue collar worker can wear a DD to work, then I can surely wear my SS DJ to work.

I wear mine when it comes up in rotation and if that happens to be when I’m working then so be it, a watch was meant to be worn.

You’re disappointed no one notices your hard to get watch... wow

I wear mine completely under the cuff.

Opposite ends of the spectrum I guess.
